Absolutely perfect cottage for our stay while attending the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Julie is an amazing host, very friendly and very quick to respond to any questions and offer recommendations. She even knew to wish us (American travelers) a happy July 4th, which was extremely thoughtful. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything we could need. Her garden is just lovely and looks out over rolling hills dotted with little sheep. A truly idyllic landscape.
We were absolutely delighted with our stay. A definite 5 star experience.

This was our second stay at this cottage, so we clearly loved it the first time! Our second visit was every bit as enjoyable. The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished, and so comfortable. The kitchen truly is fully equipped with cooking utensils, pans, and a few spices etc. The dishes are beautiful sets of crockery just as you might have in your own home make dining in a very pleasant option. Host Julie provides a few provisions to get you started too, such as tea, coffee and sugar, plus a few other items. She includes lots of really thoughtful touches inside and outside the home to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Communications are easy and very quick. We fully expect to return again when we need to be in the area!
The village and surrounding area are just delightful - gorgeous scenery right outside your door, a short walk to the Red Lion for breakfast, dinner or drinks, and so peaceful.

The cottage was everything that was promised, and more. We enjoyed tea, or a glass if wine, at the garden table overlooking spectacular countryside, with only the bleating of lambs and the chirping of birds to break the silence. Julie is a wonderful host, and very responsive to questions. We look forward to returning in the future.

Host was gracious and available. We had all the comforts of home at the same time as living in a luxurious house with glorious gardens and views.
We were working in Northampton during the day and retreating to East Haddon in the evenings.
We extended our stay because we loved being here so much! We will be back!

Beautifully decorated, everything we needed was available, nice welcome basket, large and quiet garden, pretty area with nice walks, very kind owner; we would love to come back again and we can really recommend it!

Everything about the stay was fantastic. Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. The photos on the website looked lovely but if anything the reality is even better. Everything you could possibly need is provided and the garden is a beautiful, peaceful place to sit and relax. If you're looking for a top quality cottage in Northamptonshire, book this one, you won't regret it. If we return to the area I would book Bay Tree Cottage again without hesitation.

We absolutely loved Julie’s house. We’ve stayed in a lot of private holiday rentals and are often disappointed, but not this time. The house is beautiful and furnished so tastefully. It was immaculate, and everything we needed had been thought of - everything from washing up liquid to bbq supplies, salt, pepper, coffee, cling film - and of course the welcome basket including a much appreciated bottle of wine. We really couldn’t fault it. We enjoyed the garden and the peaceful view of the farmland - we’re just sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

Julie’s beautiful cottage
Julie’s cottage is immaculate, beautiful furnishings and decor, extremely comfortable, everything you could wish for.The setting, overlooking countryside from the rear garden is idyllic, and In easy reach of places of interest, including Althorp. Julie is a charming host. The welcome pack for our arrival was much appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a wonderful holiday.

Hidden gem
My stay at Bay Tree Cottage was one of the nicest holidays I have been on. Wonderful property, clean, comfortable, brilliantly equipped with everything you could ever hope for and it really did feel like home. Quiet and peaceful, with a fantastic view of the open countryside from the back garden. The managers were just lovely and could not have been more help or more friendly.
I will definitely be looking to return, but with the whole family next time!
