Bedrooms, parking, quiet location

This property was very clean and comfortable. Quiet location. Owners are lovely and came out to sort a minor problem we had. The ground floor bedroom and bathroom was ideal for my elderly mother.

Just 2 minor points that would be helpful in this property. Towel rails or rings in the bathrooms. A small shelf in the en-suite would be useful.

Pleasant, quiet neighbourhood. Light sleepers slept like logs in very comfortable beds. Very comfortable, pleasant, well-appointed house for a group: in particular, it maintained a pleasantly warm temperature even with the thermostat turned down, and the heating was very responsive when needed. Very comfortable even for someone in poor health. Good downstairs accessibility for an unsteady walker, as long as a bath is o.k.: shallow steps into the house at the front and one step over the threshold needed at the side. Large, deep and inviting bath a hit with another guest. Kitchen very well appointed for the most part. Expect to provide your own consumable items, tea-towels, etc. Co-op just up the road and easy to find. A short walk to the town circular 'bus, for Castle Square or Tesco, and another very short walk from Tesco stop to the railway station. The 'bus shelter (opposite NFU building) is a good sign-post for Greenacres: coming up Sheet Road from the town, turn right just before the 'bus shelter; coming from the A49 down Sheet Road, turn left just before the 'bus shelter. Garden not manicured but very pleasant; enjoyed watching birds flitting in and out of the hedges. The owner was very helpful when contacted.

Minor details: shortage of hooks/ shelves in bathrooms; lack of a reasonable sized kitchen knife. Water pressure not quite enough for a shower which is both hot and at good pressure - for a week and in a warm house, not a problem. No Sunday/bank holiday 'bus service. Walk into Castle Square is a bit over a mile (just after Sidney Road, it's very much safer to take the footpath signposted "town centre", which comes out only a little further on but bypasses a nasty curve under the railway bridge): it feels a longer mile on the way back.

We particularly liked the bedrooms with soft carpets, comfy beds and pillows which were extremely comfy, the whole house was very warm and comfortable, and two bathrooms. We really loved drinking our morning coffee in the conservatory watching the birds. And the nearby Shropshire Walk was a joy to find too.

It would be great to have a rubbish separation box in the under the sink in the kitchen cupboard.
