We had a family of seven that stayed for 8 nights. The home is located right on the beach, many days we were the only ones with toes in the sand! The home was well equipped, clean and had everything we wanted. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. I admit I was a little nervous after reading the previous review but we had nothing but a positive experience and would certainly return to this home!

I wish we could include images to show what the host told us was "disgusting" and worth a 4-digit charge. I've been that person reading reviews like mine and thinking "these people must be crazy"; I never thought I would be that person! We have done rentals for many years. Hosts have always left us great reviews for "respecting the integrity of the home", "treating the home as their own", etc. I'm oversharing here to alert future renters and in anticipation of a hurtful response painting us to be awful people. First, note that the host's contract allows them to charge a large sum for incidentals at their discretion, and you agree to this charge when you book, no proof needed. That should have raised a red flag for us, but we changed our booking to this house last minute when our initial rental fell through due to Ian. We were told that the housekeeper would do a walk-through with us when we arrived. Instead, she showed us how to use the keypad on the door and left. We didn't think anything of it and had a great week. The house is lovely - not pristine, but we didn't expect it to be perfect. When we left, we put everything back in its place, swept/vacuumed, did dishes, emptied trashes, left the beach towels by the washer, washed the table cloth, shook out the bathroom rugs, etc. We left feeling we had been fair in our treatment of the home. As soon as we left, however, the host started texting photos of minor surface scuff marks on some of the wood, saying we had "destroyed the furniture," using hurtful language that was so over-the-top compared to the photos being sent. Some of it may have been from us, but we honestly weren't sure how, as we only had books and water bottles on the nightstands and barely used the dresser. Then the host sent photos of a small water mark on a throw pillow, stating that we had urinated in the beds (looked more like a mark from one of our kids' water bottles), some discoloration on a sheet, a close up of a small spot on a white towel, a small hole in an extra fitted sheet from the closet, and finally two random pics of paint that had started to chip on a doorway, and a small crack in the paint on a wall somewhere. Along with these images, we were told the host was "appalled", and it was "disgusting" and the condition of the home was "unheard of". We were then charged the full amount. Sorting this out has obviously been taxing mentally and emotionally. We can’t recommend this or any rental owned by this host.

The house was amazing for 6 adults and 3 kids. exactly what we're looking for spending time with the family on the beach. house has everything you needs in the house and time on the beach. we used the tent on the beach; used the canoe on the water didn't get to go on a bike ride but was an option as well. the kids enjoyed all the sand toys. lots of chairs and towels for the beach. if the house is available we'll definitely book again. We had a great stay at this vacation rental - It was able to fit our entire family of 10 and has great views from the rooms! The beach is a few steps from the backyard and it was almost empty. It was also wonderful to be able to bring our pups along! Jen was very helpful and quick to respond all of our questions!
