4 of us stayed at Caribe de Musica- the location is wonderful! Very walkable into town, north beach, restaurants. We rented a golf cart 1 day to see the south island. Very FUN! Great little bars ( The Joint, and Soggy Pesos). Loved the infinity pool day or night! The house is very spacious and comfortable! What a way to celebrate my 60th Birthday!!!!!

Perfect location. The sounds of the waves were just what I needed. Beautiful house and the pool was amazing. I had my coffee while soaking on the pool and watching waves every morning then walked into town for lunch and got massages at the hotel down the boardwalk (only a dozen houses away) every afternoon sublime!

We had a very comfortable stay at Musica La caribe. It’s in a private area which made us feel secure and the property itself is really kept well and unique. We had the best view of the ocean with the pool facing the ocean and that was very cool to witness. The kitchen was large enough to accommodate our family and the beds and were really comfortable. We had the best time!!

This place was uh-mazing! Two large patios plus the entire rooftop. I was able to hang my hammock on the rooftop and we watched the sunrise. The pool over looks the ocean and you can see down the coast. It was just amazing!!! The bed was super comfortable too and we would definitely go back. I highly recommend!!!

My family/friend and I had a fantastic stay at this property! The location is perfect. The views are absolutely breathtaking. This is the first vacation I actually feel refreshed afterwards and it's because I was able to fully relax and unwind at this lovely property.

We booked this place as a last minute weekend vacation with the intention of not doing a damn thing. This place was the PERFECT place to do that. We had an AMAZING time. The communication with the property managers was great, they responded almost immediately. We had a small issue with the air conditioner and it was fixed within a very reasonable time. LOCATION is perfect!!! Our room had a balcony view of the sunrise and the other room, a view of the sunset. The pool is heated. The kitchen has all the amenities that one might need. The air conditioner keeps the house cool and if there is a breeze no need to use the air, just open all the doors. Never felt unsafe. Recommend that a golf cart rental for sure! I can’t even find a negative about the place if I tried. Worth every minute

We had a wonderful family trip and enjoyed our stay at Casa Del Musical… the pool was great, the views were gorgeous allowing for beautiful sunrises and sunsets! We created many wonderful family memories on Isla Mujeres!! Thank you 🙏

My second time in Isla and last time we stayed at a hotel directly on the turquoise water right where everything was happening. Due to cost for this trip we opted to look into VRBO. Wow!!! did not disappoint. We enjoyed every inch of the house. It was only .7 miles to where we had stayed prior and that was no problem to walk to. I definitely plan to stay again!

We have stayed at VRBO’s all over the island for the last 20 years. Casa Musica is a 10 out of 10 for a lot of reasons: Perfect location- just on the fringe of downtown where everything is at your fingertips, yet its architecture and location give it such a private feel… FYI, there are two Casa Musica’s. Make sure to direct taxi’s to the address or centro casa. So Comfortable- Great kitchen, comfortable sunroom area, perfectly sized outdoor area. Master bed/bath’s very large, plenty of space to unpack and settle in… Pool- A lot of VRBO’s offer a small plunge pool. Not this casa! Perfectly sized pool, private to the malecon area below. Wasn’t heated our entire stay (love to take a dip at night), but daytime use was very comfortable. Rental Management- Chemo was the best! Prompt, kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely stay again!

The property is very nice and just south of the north end of the island. It is a short walking distance to all of the north end shops, restaurants , bars, etc. and the ferry terminal. The multiple levels and decks make it easy for people to get away for some private time if they want to.

First time to Isla Mujeres and Casa Musica was absolutely perfect for our stay! Very comfortable, had everything we needed, great location, felt very safe, and the staff was fantastic! Already planning our return!

We stayed for 6 days over Christmas, our first time at this property. Property met the description and photos. Chema was an excellent concierge, owners are very communicative. Book this property with confidence.

The place was incredibly spacious, private and comfortable. The location makes it easy to travel to, anywhere on the island by foot, golf cart or taxi. The king bed and bedding were very comfortable. We cannot wait for our next visit!

We rented Casa Musica De Caribe for 10 days. Checking in with Chema their property liaison was very easy. The view from the pool deck overlooking the ocean was beautiful. The house is very large, clean and the bedrooms both have nice balconies, especially the back bedroom which overlooks the ocean. The house had most kitchen items (cookware, plates, glassses etc) available to use. The decor was quirky but welcoming. Shopping, beaches and restaurants are conveniently all within a 10 minute walk or so. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the Malecon by the water to get to town every day. We really didn’t have any major issues but there were a few things of note. As previous reviewers have said, the pool is very cold due to the pool area getting limited sun during the day. This really made the pool mostly unusable. Some of the furniture such as the headboard in the bedroom is very worn. The safe in the back bedroom would not lock properly but we did not mention it to property management due to there being two safes and the other one did work. Housekeeping came very early in our stay and took some used shower towels but they were never replaced but we managed to get by with the few that we had not used. It seem as though they did nothing else while they were there. There are several tv’s with Apple devices to stream show but the only one that worked was the living area downstairs. I could not get either of the bedroom tv’s to function properly. Once again, not a major issue as we watched very little tv but just something of note. Communication with property management was very simple and easy. I would highly recommend getting WhatApp on you smartphone. It makes communicating with management extremely easy. Overall we had a great time

This place is so amazing. The house is beautiful and so comfortable. The views from all the floors are breathtaking. The pool that overlooks the ocean is amazing. We had a hard time leaving the house because it was so welcoming. You have all the ameneties to cook. The location is perdect and walking distance to all the nice restaurants and bars. We will be back. I highly recommend this place.

house was clean, spacious and quiet. AC was cold, water was hot, beds were comfy. property mgr was very responsive..for checkin and checkout....we really didnt have to bother him during our stay. wifi was not great, but we also didnt have great cell service this trip for some reason, so could be related. would definitely stay again!

Husband and I took our son and girlfriend - the house, views, town were amazing! We spent our days on the North Beach and evenings eating, laughing, listening to music on Hidalgo Street - Isla Mujeres is a MUST

We had a FANTASTIC stay at Casa Música del Caribe. Major highlights included both bedrooms having their own bathroom (move the facet to the left in the shower for really hot water). Our almost-5-year old slept on one of the blow up mattresses in our room and there was still plenty of space. We also felt like there was plenty of space for us to spread out downstairs with the pool/dining room and the living room. Kitchen is huge, though, as someone previously mentioned, running a little low on things like coffee cups. We used the back door to stroll along the walkway along the ocean up to el Centro/Downtown which made for a beautiful, easy stroll. We rented a golf car only one day since we were walking distance to most attractions, and it was nice being able to pull the car in off the street (on a previous trip our golf cart had its gas siphoned so we didn’t have to worry). If you do take taxis, they do tend to get a little confused about another Casa Música, but my guess is that not too many people take taxis from the house unless they are going to the southern point. On two nights our neighbors next door were a bit noisy around midnight, but otherwise we had a fantastic stay! The house is very secure with several locks and the neighbors kept to themselves.

Nice home. Beds were comfortable. Showers were hot with great water pressure (once we found out that the hot/cold is opposite of what we are used to in the US), internet was consistently good, air conditioning was wonderful, and pool was cool but not so cold that we couldn't use it. Only suggestions for improvement would be adding handrails in the outdoor "tower" steps . We are seniors and it would have felt safer if we had a hand railing.

To be fair I would rate this a 3.5 if was able to do so as there are many pros and cons to this property. Isla itself is a definite 5!! We aren’t 1st time Isla visitors so we have experience with the island and what fits our needs. Here you go…. Pros: Location is fantastic House provides everything you need Patio room to the pool is great to hang out in especially at night. Breeze was amazing. Rooftop although we didn’t use much has excellent views for sunrise/sunset. Balcony off Master is nice. Great privacy Overall amazing views. Cons: The biggest con is that the pool is not swimmable due to how cold it is. We knew it was “solar heated”, but it was an ice bath that never really warmed up. There is only direct sun to the pool and poolside for a very limited time, so if pool/sunbathing is super important to your trip then this is 100% not your house. I read some of the reviews about the pool, but figured people were being dramatic…They weren’t. Cosmetically the interior needs a bunch of work. I won’t get nit picky and go into everything, but even the Master headboard is peeling which gets on your hands and is gross. There were also a plethora of flys in the bathroom the entire week and it wasn’t due to the garbage. A/C went out downstairs as well for two days, but we really spent no time there during the day so it wasn’t a big deal. Bottom Line: If you want a rustic beach house to hang out in with another couple and you plan on just exploring the island then this is a good spot for you. I have seen/stayed at 5 stars on this island and it’s definitely not that.

This rental is a very short walk into town at north end of island along the boardwalk that runs along the east side of the island. It has incredible ocean views from all sides (you also can see the west side of the ocean because the island is at its skinniest where the home is located). The roof deck is wonderful for sunbathing. The pool is small but very nice. The manager is reachable by text or what’s app and is extremely responsive. He met me at the house to check me in and also was available fo answer questions thru out the stay. The back gate has a key pad to renter from the malacon and it wasn’t working but that was no big deal. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and flatware but has extremely small supply of cooking utensils and cook ware and mixing bowls and that sort of thing. They need to restock and reassess in that department. But if you plan to eat out and not cook it’s fine. The air conditioning worked well and there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. No plumbing issues. Very secure home with safes and lots of layers of locking doors and gates. Short walk to ferry (less than 10 minutes) and easy to find. All in all a nice Isla rental home.

This is an amazing perfectly-located property. It has a rooftop patio to die for. And a seawall out the back with a spectacular walk to the centre. But. But. But. We were robbed. Somehow thieves got through locked doors and cracked the safe. What saved us from losing everything was that we came home while the robbery was in progress. I was concerned at the ease of access and the management company responded quickly to check and improve the locks. Police arrived promptly. Because our passports were stolen, several days were spent applying for new ones. A definite setback for the holiday mood. Still a beautiful spot. Get a chef to come in and cook. We recommend Skinny. Owner Richard was very quick to pass along his regrets. Unfortunately VRBO does not offer compensation for theft.

The location is good, walking distance to everything on the Northside (hotels, restaurants, bars, and beaches). This would be ideal if you traveling with a larger group staying in hotels or other locations. The house needs cosmetic updates The pool is nice but it's not heated and gets a limited amount of sun. The house is on the water but you can't access the beach (there is no beach). We traveled with two couples and with only four people I personally think hotels are easier and avoid needing to rent a golf cart which is expensive.

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Musica del Caribe. Great communication leading up to our stay, comprehensive check in process. We got a golf cart right when we arrived. You can walk to shops and restaurants right from the house, but the golf cart was nice to cover the while island. The pool was our favorite and we used it twice a day. Didn’t discover the awesome path behind the house until the end of our trip and wished we had been using it all week. Rooms were very comfortable and the views were incredible. My only complaint: We didn’t use the kitchen much, but it was missing a few essentials like hot pads, wine glasses, baking sheet, and microwave. Had one issue during our stay, but the management company took care of it right away. Would definitely stay here again!
