It was just like the photos and even better. We stayed on honeymoon and the decorations in the room was amazing. The restaurant is right there and staff is extremely friendly. The beach is right under your feet and can sip on rand Rs and be waited upon. The WIFI was great and well needed ! The local market is a few steps away and everything is on your doorstep

One night the sewage pipe broke and we were woken up to an awful smell. It was so horrible we couldn't sleep. We left a day early cause of travel time and they wouldn't even give us a discount, or 50% off or anything.

The pictures on the internet/social media don't match the reality. Management had no empathy nor comprehension if you have complaints. Its their way or the highway with no refunds. You are basically paying 10.000 meticais per day just for the bed and a basic breakfast.

The location was nice and the kids enjoyed the fact that it was right on the beach front

The owner could put in a little more effort by replacing old towels, old cushions, comfortable furniture and not forgetting the towels. Considering the amount paid for the accommodation, the space was rather suitable for backpackers.

We booked a holiday for 14 days- Unfortunately, we were checked into room #7 ( shared a wall with the kitchen-very noisy), but after a week another room became available and Nolly quite happily moved us in an alternative nicer room ! Thank you for accommodating us .

Like most property in mozambique it is way over priced for the standard of room you get...I do not understand why this is...

Terrible loud music right through the night (literally started at lunchtime and continued until dawn) for the first couple of nights, made it impossible to sleep - very stressful and distressing!

very helpful and friendly staff, amazing location right at the beach. Using the veranda of one of the rooms, it was even possible to hold a workshop for 4 people which was perfect.

Had a fantastic week and must thank Fernando and team for being wonderful hosts and great ambassadors for Tofo. Room # 1 was perfect in every way and loved sitting on the patio each morning watching the ocean, the fishermen, surfers, swimmers and holiday makers doing their thing. Included breakfast in our rate which was a good idea and delicious.

I arrived and changed my room as I booked the cheapest one which was dark. Looked at almost all options and chose one with the best matrass, no direct sun impact. This was the family room, which was great to have as single traveller, since I had two floors, my bed and terrace overlooking the resto and beach at the best spot (you can do surfing just in front). Two bathrooms; quite practical the one at the entrance to get rid of the sand before getting up. Breakfeast was great for me. Didnt try lots of things at the (pricy) resto, only some juice. This is one of the best if not the best hotels in Tofo, in view of the location and the comfort, and also one of the most expensive. Italian owner inherited it from her mother who runs it long time, recently renovated. The owner is very friendly (although you will not have lots of interaction with her) and Joao - one of the receptionists - is a great person whom I whish some carreer upgrade due to his outstanding interpersonal skills. I didnt have lots of mosquitos (oct.22) but the net is perfect. matrass was reasonably good. Wifi perfect. Hot water is a mere trickle, in particular above, but it is ok. Room climate is fine. I used AC in my absence to reducue mosquitos, the AC seemed not to run in full power, but I had not problems with mosquitos and the AC seems to be properly maintained, so, no problems with microorganisms (such as in Africa tropical, Inhambane...).

Although a rather expensive hotel, this was the only hotel in Mocambique (from 6 so far) where some of the staff members were not smiling at all and looking even unfriendly, and some other staff memebers also were looking strangely, often avoiding eye contact, ignoring, or giving somewhat "false" smiles. No idea what is the reason. I think it has nothing to do with me but probably the owner had bad luck with recruitment. Have met so much super-friendly and pleasent hotel staff during my trip but meeting those staff members was really upleasant, although, after I made some discrete comments, they tried to improve - However, I think it is hard to change the mindset of completely unsuitable persons. The taxi driver the hotel called for me for airport transport to the hotel apparently made some ridiculous attempt with a police at the street to get some more money from me; never let this happen (could be that I am wrong). When I left, staff forgot to return my deposit of 1000MZN but I was around the area and had to get personally there to get it back (somewhat cumbersome telephone talks). Off-season you can stay for 2000MZN in places like singila lodge in a complete very nice big house and very friendly staff, it is only a bit remote and requires a bit driving (taxi negotiation can be annoying) and you need to cater yourself or make deals with the staff (finding a person that works a full day for you for max! 500MZN is usually no problem!). However, beach is best for swimming at the center where casa na praia is.

The hotel is located in the best location in Tofu beach, as it is the only one located on the beach! The staff was very friendly and kind, and the service and food were really good.

The tap water was yellow

room 9 was very cold when the wind blew though the gaps in the door and other areas not enough bedding to warm each bed. the room 8 lower room became quite hot an claustrophobic at times.

Staff, food and the view was fabulous.

Bathroom was ridiculously small and water supply was never good....hardly any cold water to the shower.....too much hot water..no balance. Toilet always smells like Urine as the public toilet seem to be in the same connection right next to our room. Our room was right next to the ablution, reception, bar and eatery....not a great place for a honeymoon week.....

Location cant be better, right on the beach, great service, nice food and drinks

The shower pressure was bad even for Mozambique standards and we stayed in a room close to the kitchen so was a bit of noise once in a while but that is minor. And finally, breakfast took ages everyday, though was really tasty.

Amazing location! Doesn't get better - walked down the stairs straight onto the beach, and into a beautifully decorated beach cafe. Thanks to everyone!
