Loved having the restaurant in the hotel. Got checked in, took the bags to the room walked to the restaurant that is in the Hotel. Ate walked back to the room and did some chilaxing. Its was great. And the price was good too.

Checking in is a pain. We had to go into the lobby of the adjoining property (not even Fairfield) then go back across the parking lot to enter the Fairfield. We could hear the local traffic in the room all night. The breakfast was ok but still had to go to the other building to check out. Not convenient at all.

The only reason I am giving three stars is because I booked a double queen and was there at 3 O’clock and they didn’t have any available. I could understand if I was checking in late, but I was in time. Had to share one bed. Not horrible, I just like to get what I reserved.

The property seems to be “in transition”. The landscaping is a mess and there is not enough signage inside to know where things are or what amenities are available. Beds are comfy and it was reasonably clean. Breakfast was excellent.

Rooms were updated, very clean, and very comfortable. Enjoyed the convenience of the restaurant in the lobby. Rooms were surprisingly quiet, even with the hotel being located next to the interstate. We stayed here on the return trip a week later and it was just as nice of an experience - will definitely stay here every time we come through Amarillo! Too bad it didn't have a pool, but all the other amenities were very nice.
