The location, the building, and the room were great. It was so comfy and very clean.! Only thing was for breakfast it took a while to get attended to. Got to breakfast around 10:30am, didn’t get help until 10:50am and were told we couldn’t order breakfast anymore.

In all of our interactions the staff was completely indifferent. They could care less whether we were there or not. We booked (and paid extra on Hotels site) a king bed but when we got to our room it was two queens. Called the front desk and they said they would move us the following day. Checked with them three times the next day and it was always “we will call you when your room is ready”. Well it was never ready. The pool bar was pitiful, no fun no smiles, nothing. Room was clean and bed was comfortable albeit smaller than what we wanted. Hotel is overall old and it looks like they painted and put new carpet but that’s it. We booked two nights out of our 6 in SPI and so glad we were only there for 2. Moved next door to Margaritaville. Soooooo much better. Room is 1000times nicer, friendly staff, and close to same price. Do yourself a favor and skip the sad Holiday Inn Resort. Not with the time or money.

Property is old. This is not a “resort”. The amenities here do not warrant the high room rates. At the time of our stay, a large group was allowed to commandeer all public areas; and my 4 person family group was made to feel uncomfortable. When I made my reservation, I was sent an email that suggested that I would be well taken care of and provided for. Not the case. For $300+ a night, I thought beach umbrellas and chairs would be included. Not. An outside contractor had to be contacted and they didn’t answer the phone. Only 2 Kcups were provided in the room. Any additional had to be requested. Ice machines were not working. Bagged ice had to be bought. The size of the room and bathroom are equivalent to places that charge less than half this rate. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone.

The property needs a lot of maintenance. The room was very tight and bathroom had rusted and broken tile, walls and floors. It just need some love!

My night was disappointing because at 2am, were a fire alarm that scared all my family and we had to run out quickly, and was a false alarm. No body gave us any information about it, no body apologize for that, and no body care about all guest. In that extraordinary situations, manager personal must be there making an extraordinary job. for $250 without breakfast included, i was hoping a little bit more.

The beds were not queen size, they were full size. There was only 1 lamp for the whole room,table in room was very small, toilet was almost hit when you open bathroom door, very very cramped. Not really a resort at all. Pool is only 3ft deep. Breakfast is not included. $65 to rent 2 chairs/umbrella for beach. Pictures are VERY deceiving.

I was very disappointed that my shower did not work properly and no hot water. Our towels had hair in it. And the tv was also not working properly.just wasn’t what I expected.

The pool area was great, staff were nice. Beware there are a lot of taxes and fees beyond what you pay Expedia.

I would stay here again if I’m on a budget

Rated 10, for convenience to beach, dining, tour port, and shopping. 10 for cleanliness of hotel, our room and hotel grounds. Yes hotel is an older hotel on the Island, but it's seen it's fare share of bad weather, but I'm not eating or off the building and grounds. Management and employees have done a marvelous job of keeping it presentable. I was disappointed by misleading Website concerning the beach setup, it stated a surcharge for a cabana on the beach. I was charged $40 for an umbrella and 2 chairs. I paid due to grandchild. Parking for disabled consisted of 7 spots near the door! We parked 6 rows towards the back, due to parking lot was also for public use. Now that I'm aware I am prepared for my next visit.

This is how you destroy a brand. You think “Holliday Inn” means a certain standard, like a McDonald’s but this is nowhere near the standard of a $250/ night hotel. So many problems it was hard to keep track of. Skip it at all costs.

I liked the location and ease of walking to the beach. The property is not up to date though; lamp shades were stained and made it feel dingy. The room was clean otherwise. Not sure why there was a resort fee, there were no added amenities compared to other standard hotels where we've previously stayed on the island. The ice machine was not even working, a signed stated we could pay for ice if needed. I feel ice should be a standard amenity, especially with a resort fee.

Right on the beach! Food was great, staff was awesome, rooms were very clean. This will definitely be our spot in Padre.

The bathroom is very small, they do not have a desk where I could work on my computer, they only have a table for food, there were many closed areas, nothing was installed in the games area, room service did not give me clean towels and there were a cockroach in the room and the only nice thing is that it has three swimming pools, I hope this helps you improve

Easy access to the beach. Room smell like damp.

There really any isn’t anything good that I can say about this hotel. The price is pretty crazy plus when you check in they will charge you another $50 for their “fees“. I ordered food to take to our room and it was absolutely terrible. The macaroni had cottage cheese, which looked old and smelled funny. When I reported it to their text, they never responded and completely ignored my request for help. The room was either freezing or sweltering hot. There was not enough blankets or pillows for the number of people in our room and there was basically no water pressure in the shower. How embarrassing for this hotel in this condition. Don’t bother staying here because the pools close early and there is not Enough. Good things going on here. Do not order food. It is not good. Still waiting for a manager to respond to my request in terms of the poor quality of food and the high price I was charged.

Needs modernization and a buffet bar breakfast! And the swimming pool old and busted towel situation is worse they make you pay resort fee And I could never even get a towel some waste of money stay next-door and pay a little more to Margaritaville much better Hotel… xoxoxoxox

This is a great option if you want to be near the water. Easy beach access and super nice staff.

We paid way too much for what it was advertised as. Now, if I had paid half the price, then I would have been satisfied. We thought we were going to a nice resort. This is just a hotel on the beach with very small pools, janky elevators that my 11 year old daughter was afraid of, dirty room windows and mediocre food at the restaurant that does not reflect the fine dining pictures on the website. They give you wristbands and tell you it's to fend off the people trying to use they're pools, yet to there is no gate or "guard" or workers to make sure of this. The small 3ft pools are overpopulated with 75% outsiders (no wristbands) I tried to reach out to hotels.com to get a partial refund, as I feel I must have been the only fool there that paid that outstanding amount.amd they said they don't alter the pictures that are sent to them. The pictures are deceiving.

This stay was awful. The beds had sand, bathrooms were dirty Hardly any plugs worked. The bathroom was tiny. Ice machines didn’t work on first or second floor. Very outdated compared to the pictures shown. The toilet was stopped up and it took over 12 hours for someone to come. A lot of rust. If you book with hotels.com the hotel itself can’t do anything for you. Today after check out I had to start another complaint after sending emails and reviews all week and got $118 back out of $1300 stay. Will never stay here again.

This facility is out dated! The pictures are deceiving the minute you drive into the facility it looks rusted and old. To top it off the three poles are all baby pools 3ft deep. My kids miserable! Rooms are small restroom is tiny! I am 150 lbs felt uncomfortable. My husband is 200 and didn’t fit.
