The hotel room was very nice. The toilet seat way too low and small. The bath tub stopped up with water going down very slow. No shower head that detached?? The water view was lovely!!! The incidentals fee way too HIGH 75.00. I didn't pay that at the hotel "MAIN". 35 dollars to park...crazy for overnight.

Room was not very clean…the towels were paper thin and areas inside and around the hotel were not well maintained…requested several calls to the front desk to speak or meet with the hotel or front desk manager…no response. Stay elsewhere.

The bathroom is too small. The toilet is made for a kindergartner. My faucet handles were loose and hard to figure out. When I first went to my room on the 9th floor there was no air in the hallway. I got faint and had to stop three times to take deep breathes just to finish my walk. It only happened on Tuesday late afternoon, but that was one time too many. All the other days the air was fresh and cool, so I had no problem walking. There is no small cafe' to get a quick sandwich or breakfast. Paying almost $20 for breakfast is outrageous. You said breakfast available, but there was no choice but to pay for something that was too much and took a long time to eat, when I needed to get out early to visit my son at the heart hospital. I felt I had to get valet because I did not feel safe walking alone to a faraway and isolated garage. It was a safety issue for me since I was on call to get to the hospital several nights if my son got too agitated and scared about where he was.

Everything was great but didn’t get into my room until after 6 and the tv didn’t work the whole time.

All staff were friendly, loved the drinks in the lobby daily, would stay here again

My wife and I checked in at 4:00PM and finally were able to access our room at 5:30PM. We ordered breakfast via room service the next morning and the order was "botched". Ordered two breakfasts and received only one and it came with NO jelly & butter. The plastic cover of the orange juice was loose and did not properly fit and the juice spilled in the refrigerator.

Amazing customer service. The hotel rooms were outdated but well maintained.

Called about a clogged tub and it was fixed right away. The o ly thing I had a pro lem with was with the lady when checking out, she was slightly rude and acted like I was causing her an inconvenience because I was checking out of the hotel!

The room was nice. And quite quiet. However, we had a hard time connecting to the internet through their Wi-Fi. I could not watch TV because there was no signal.

The staff at all departments put this place in a solid 4 star. There are issues with cleanliness, and my assumption is that the hotel is understaffed. The balconies particularly need to be power-washed to avoid molds proliferating further.

The property though worn was clean. You can tell it is an older property but very convenient than stay in Virginia Beach - we wanted be away from the beach crowd and enjoy downtown Norfolk. We enjoyed our stay.

The staff were professional. The building could use a refresh inside and out. Parking was a up sale and so, I wish I had not paid the expensive cost and it was a separate service offered from the hotel. Location was good for what I needed.

Called for maintenance twice, no one appeared

This property is past its prime. The dog poop receptacle was overflowing. The flower beds were overgrown along the waterfront. The condition of the hotel in general was pretty run down. The room was ok. The TV didn’t work. The lobby ran out of coffee at 8:30am. Off site parking was a bit of a walk and was 15.00. The location and price would have you believe this was a nice place to stay. It’s not. Don’t.

It was a Bad experience the Room have no microwave then after all that you pay its no breakfast included then you have to pay for parking an walk a half mile to your Room

The service was top notch, room was emacullently cleaned. The staff that I encountered was friendly, the only negative was the cable television was having issues and I couldn't watch TV after my day ended, I had to use my phone.

The staff is amazing! They always receive you with mimosa or sangria and they were spectacular! The location also pretty nice. The reason I don’t give a 5star is for the inconvenience of the parking. They don’t have parking for guest, if you rent a car you’ll have to pay $35 dollars a DAY! Or go to a garage about a block away and is also about $20 dollars a DAY! There is also the option of looking for a parking spot in the surrounding areas and walk back to the hotel. All around the hotel is not like super pricey but also not “that economic either”.

Nice bedding and decent room, but carpets are dingy in hallway. I liked that they had free refreshing cocktails upon arrival and mimosa on Sunday morning. We appreciated the late check out at 11AM giving us a chance to sleep in. Riverview was special in a navy town and the hotel was very close to a bike rental store for e bikes. We rode the Elizabeth rail trail to kill 3 hours before catching a delayed flight.
