I like this hotel, but the furnishings need updating. Also, the tile in the shower was broken. Also the bathroom is way too small! The toilet was right next shower….too close.

The hotel staff were nice and checking in during the evening was easy. The hotel was quiet and the beds passed our checks for cleanliness. However there were several things that showed a decline in the upkeep. Mold on the large vent in the room. A lot of the paint peeling in the pool. Hot tub closed for months, based on a review 5 months before hand. Only one side of the bed has plugs. It needs TLC.

most of the staff was very helpful and nice except the woman who checked us out. There are parking fees here which makes zero sense as there is literally nothing you can even walk to of relevance. I was not told of the fees when i checked in and she begrudgingly took it off my bill. Why is it so hard to be nice to customers in 2024?

Fantastic location in the old quarter. Everything you would want to see in Hanoi is a 10-20 minute walk we didn’t need a taxi in Hanoi for any sightseeing.
The staff were absolutely incredible from arrival to our last day. Really helpful with storing our luggage during overnight excursions, helping us book transport to ninh binh (really reasonable), sorting a SIM card and recommending what to do and where to eat in Hanoi. They really made us feel special and couldn’t have been better.
The rooms were lovely, very comfortable bed and super clean!

Overall, the hotel was fine. The coffee packets in the room were all decaf and the lids didn't fit the cups. Breakfast is not included, but had a decent breakfast for $16 per person. The pool needs resurfacing and the hot tub was out of commission.

Overall, the hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious.
I have 3 things that made for a less than ideal stay.
1. The shower's hot water was not very hot and the handle was confusing
2. All 4 of the pillows provided were uncomfortable
3. There was a room around us who played loud music until all hours of the night. Finally, around 1 am, I called the front desk and they said they were looking into it.

The exterior of the property looks aged, but interior is nice and kept clean. Rooms were just okay, nothing fancy, worn a bit, but still super nice. Beds were comfortable. The only absolute negative was the lady who checked me in was not friendly whatsoever. Didn’t even check my ID for the reservation which I thought was odd. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and was very good. Servers were very friendly and quick.
