This was an excellent experience. For the first time visiting CDMX, we were very happy to have selected Barceló. All the amenities were amazing and the staff was also top notch.

Nice hotel, very clean, nice spa and pool. The only downside for me was the service. I called down twice for a corkscrew that never did arrive. Not speaking Spanish was a hindrance for me. I was on the “premium” level and that was fantastic. Separate area for breakfast with a good selection and coffee/ latte machine.

Excellent option if you want to go downtown! It is weel located with the subway station Hidalgo very near... safe neighborhood and great facilities.

My husband and I stayed at the property to celebrate our anniversary. The location is great, close to many attractions. Our room was cleaned daily and all the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend.

Our stay was excellent! The front desk attendant Enrique was very accommodating and showed that he really cares for our experience. I recommend staying at Barcelo for anyone looking for a great hotel when visiting CDMX.

Overall, it was great! However, it took us almost two days to get a room with two double beds. We had to ask the front desk three times to get that.

I made a quick bday trip down to CDMX and chose Barcelo for my stay as the price was just right for 5 days. Staff is very nice here especially Filemon Moruler as he was very helpful whenever I had questions and issues and there were a couple of issues. Great guy! My original room 1403 kept flooding my first 2 mornings. Somehow water would spread on the floor from under the toilet area in which is quite an inconvenience as there is a terrible sewage smells that comes with it. They moved me to room 1218 after 2 days and while the room was nice and maybe a little smaller, the iron ruined my pricey white shirt. As I was ironing I noticed a pink burn stain was applied to my all white shirt. There is a pink-ish chair in the room and I assume someone ironed on it and got some of the coloring onto the iron. You would have to look closely to see the staining on the black iron. The staff laundered my shirt at no additional cost in which the stain did not come out. No one offered me anything for the ruined shirt. I asked for a new iron twice and never received a new one for the duration of my stay. Hotel bar is nice and makes a good burger. Got a great massage from Abigail in the spa. VIP happy hour is pretty cool as well as the buffet breakfast downstairs.

It was nice stay but some of the furniture in he rooms needs updating- the armchair was old an pretty soiled

Excellent service, amenities, and staff. The hotel goes beyond expectations.

Television mainly in Spanish. Not a Smart TV so no streaming. No small towels were provided. With 2 people staying in the room, towels were only furnished for 1.5 people. Staff was extremely polite and friendly and hotel was very clean. Room service was a Japanese menu in Spanish. Not a good assortment of what could be ordered.

In general the staff and food service is outstanding, the hotel is old but looks great. My complaint is about the cleaning service of the rooms, in five days they just cleaned the floor one day, the never refill the minibar, and the worst is that I always left the “do not disturb” sign, every single day they knock the door at 8am, the first day I asked to one of them “do not disturb until I left the sign with the clean instructions”, they insisted every single morning. The last day I left the room at 11am and we returned nearly 7pm, they didn’t do any cleaning.

Super clean. staff was amazing, nice. Easy access to everything.

Totally recommended hotel. Excellent location, staff, delicious buffet. I would return without thinking about it.
