I travel extensively for both business and leisure, and I've stayed in a wide variety of hotels over the years. However, my recent stay at this hotel was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to stay away.
Firstly, the nightly rate is exorbitant for a low-star hotel of this kind. There are plenty of other budget options that offer far better value for money. Here, you're paying a premium for subpar accommodations.
The room was in deplorable condition. The beddings were dirty and clearly hadn't been changed in some time. The entire room, including the bathroom, had an overwhelming stench that made it almost unbearable to stay in. Additionally, there were visible stains on both the floor and the walls, making me question the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of this establishment.
To top it off, the hotel's obsession with money is evident in their policies. Unlike the standard check-out time of 12 PM, which is common in most hotels I've visited, this place demands that guests vacate their rooms by 10 AM. This policy is both inconvenient and unreasonable, and it only serves to further highlight their lack of consideration for their guests' comfort.
In summary, this hotel charges too much for what it offers, has filthy accommodations, and imposes an inconveniently early check-out time. Save yourself the trouble and find another place to stay.

I would recommend you don’t stay here. It is very hot and the windows do not open All the way. The staff are very lazy and the breakfast service was awful and there wasn’t a consistent time with breakfast.

This place was one of the most unpleasant places I have ever stayed at. To begin with, we checked into our room which had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. Then after they switched our rooms, they ran out of towels, linen and key cards so we had to share 2 of each between 6. The paid buffet breakfast is atrocious and has no hot food. The staff are about as useless as an ashtray on a motorbike. And finally it’s in a very dodgy area. Couldn’t discourage people further from staying here.

Good price for what's being offered. Don't expect super luxury, but just a decent room with a nice shower and okay beds. In the lobby there's plenty to do, even if some things (pool table) might need replacement. My kids and myself had a great stay and would probably stay here again if we ever visit Berlin again.

Very outdated. Room has 6 beds but only enough sheets for 2. Bathroom completely under water after 2 minutes of showering. No working AC. View out the window is 2 large trash containers. Mattresses are literally 3cm thick. Location is bad.

Took me an hour standing around waiting to check in along with 3 other people. You book a private room with bathroom but bathroom isn’t in your room it’s on the outside in a shared space with another room so be mindful about that when booking & room and bathroom smelt like cigarettes even though we booked a non smoking room.

This place wasn't great, but for the price I guess what can you expect. Also, I had a charger shipped there overnight through Amazon. The staff claimed it never arrived -- Amazon shows it did. It's more likely that they just kept it. I wouldn't stay here again.

It got a bed in the mixed dormitory for two nights at quite low price. The bed has no linen provided and you have to pay more for a linen set. The staff was nice and helpful. But the hotel was quite noisy since students on a school trip stayed there. Traveling time to tourist attraction is quite long but i find it okay. The only thing that could improve is the bathroom needs deep cleaning (many people are using it at the same time).

Great stay in this hostel for a couple of nights. The ambiance is great, very lively. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms clean. The staff are friendly, I had no issue getting help and they were ready to go out of their way to help me out. I loved my stay here, I highly recommend this hostel.

We had to walk out of the room to get to the bathroom. No parking even though it says they do. Breakfast was not good for the price. Room was extremely HOT!! The elevator only goes up to the 7th floor and then you have to take stairs to get to the 8th floor which was not convenient having to carry the luggages and stroller up and down the stairs. Also elevators are tiny and all full of graffiti.

I received a parking ticket in the street outside, but was told to find my own street parking.
I chose a&o due to the available parking, so this was very unacceptable to me. Do not expect available parking spaces here, even if they advertise with them...

Wir würden in das A&O Berlin Mitte umgebucht. Das A&O Hostel ist ein Hostel für wirklich wenig Geld und das sollte man hier nicht vergessen. Wenn das ein Hotel mit vier Sternen wäre würde die Bewertung anders ausfallen. Es ist relativ laut, da es hellhörig ist. In den Zimmer findet man Haare und Staub, dennoch ist es relativ sauber. Die Lage ist gut und die Leute an der Rezeption sind gestresst aber bemüht.
