The room was fit for purpose that met our needs. The staff are lovely and were positively responsive to a little mishap with a hose that was left running by other people which left a little bit of our floor wet. They gave us a fan and towels to fry it off and even treated us with some burgers. Going the extra mile with a smile. Thank you for your hospitality.

Loved how neat it is and the friendly family owners. I recommend better toiletries in the bathroom but that is only a minor thing. The pool looks small but we actually had so much fun with the our kids in it and the motel provided the towels, awesome!

Second time staying here for us, both times check in has been quick and easy, the property has a high level of cleanliness with lovely touches. The beds and pillows were amazing. Will definitely visit again.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay, felt welcomed when picking up our key. Lovely room and so spacious, everything we needed, only downfall is we wished we stayed longer. Will definitely choose them again when we are up this way and we'll bring our kids. Thank you.

Lovely well maintained premises. Easy friendly checin. I did struggle to reach things in the top shelf, but i always do.

Good access to amenities. Breakfast was good value for money and filly. Room had little smoking smell. It could be my nose as I have bad smell allergie. Overall happy with location and service. Definitely stay again. Happy business!!!

Pulled up in a modest-sized camper van. Reception was immediately unfriendly, unhelpful. Room was right on a major thoroughfare. I've been staying in NZ hotels for three months, and they are, across the board, spectacular. This wasn't a bad motel by American standards, but by NZ standards it was the worst I've stayed in.

It was home away from home. Tony is absolutely fantastic, when ever were back in Hastings Portmans Motor Lodge is our first choice always.

Our stay was very good it was nice an quite room was very tidy and comfortable parking was right outside my door swimming pool was perfect for the hot day and service was very friendly highly recommend Portmans motor lodge to anyone.

Pretty unwelcoming check-in, although we were able to check-in slightly earlier. We requested couple extra towels but was declined rather condescendingly being told we already had 4 🙄 thank you but we could count!

Well located for central Hastings and very clean but in need of an upgrade, especially the bathroom which had water stains from leaks around shower and toilet. Shower door didn’t close properly. Some rooms noisy from the passing train and traffic.

Easy to find, nice clean rooms, the shower was great and the beds were very nice

Really helpful, especially when we were arriving late, turned the heatpump on, lights and tv. Definitely a place to stay.
