The place was nice, no real beach sadly, need more lounges at pool. The restaurant was ok but the server was the cook and the bartender for everyone and everything so service was slow and since the happy hour is only 1 hour long you don’t get a chance to get and 2nd drink as the server can’t handle the volume, the room was nice but lacking wall pictures and decor but it was large and comfortable, nice view from balcony

Good stay. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The pool and grounds were lovely and there were many enjoyable planned activities. The main thing I did not like was the empty,
non-operable hot tub on the balcony. If working, it would have been great to have. If it’s obsolete, though, and can’t be fixed to work, it should be removed and replaced with 2 lounge chairs. Otherwise, it’s just wasted space that diminishes the size of the balcony by half. A second issue is that there is no light in the living area when closed off for sleeping. As there were only 2 of us it was not an issue, but it would make it very difficult for anyone to use that space for sleeping. All considered, I would return to Sapphire and not hesitate to recommend it to others.

The property was clean and in an excellent location with shops, etc. within walking distance. The receptionist on call when we checked in, Josephine, was excellent. She was helpful and very accommodating.
The room, however, had a musty odour which lingered for our stay. The bath had no barrier to prevent water splashing out when we showered so there was some spill on the floor.
The room was cleaned daily and the bathroom linen replenished.

If you stay here, you MUST book a villa. The villas are right on the oceans edge and have balconies with private pools. The setting is impossible to match anywhere else. Blissfully beautiful and relaxing. The hotel is aging, as many reviews tell you, but if your goal is relaxation you will not be disappointed. Yes there is pealing paint, aging bathroom tiles, and less than perfect plumbing, but having a PRIVATE pool, cool A/C, and comfortable beds far out ways the negatives. Oh, and happy hour twice a day with two for one $7 mixed drinks doesn’t hurt either. We had a wonderful time.

Sapphire Hotel passed its glory days. It probably was a very nice hotel back in the 80's. Shoddy work/repairs were very noticeable. I had problems with the room key card requiring daily trips to the front office to have the key card reactivated and this finally got fixed during my 4th day. Old squeaky gym machines. On the positive side, the staff was very professional!

For one night stay it's OK. I can't imagine staying a week there.
Air condition is amazing considering the awful heat. Initial room cleanliness is acceptable. Beta are comfortable. However, the sheets that were delivered to our sofa bed were not washed properly.
One other thing I realize about budget hotel stays is
important bathroom facilities i.e. Toilets, they're always some disappointment. Our toilet would not flush properly. Why can't the basic plumbing stuff just be top priority for maintenance?
There was a hot tub but it has not been maintained and cleaned in ages. Looks like it doesn't even work.

I enjoyed the ocean view including visibility to the pool. Location close to a nearby beach, walkable. I was not pleased with the service due to load sharing (electricity). Plus room door battery kept malfunctioning which created unnecessary inconvenience. Otherwise, a good stay overall.

The staff was very helpful, but the room was very dingy. The appliances were vibrating and making noise and a lot of the stuff was falling apart like cabinet drawers, and door locks going out to the balcony

What a perfect place for a relaxing vacation! Helped me adjust to the time difference as I was traveling from 7 time zones away.
Staff was great, very helpful folks with tours, taxis, etc..
Walking distance to about a nice area with a few restaurants and bars.

The property is old & in need of a drastic overhaul. The bathroom was dangerous for elderly tenants as a person has to balance & climb into the bathtub/shower. As the shower has no curtain, water accumulates on the floor which becomes dangerous. The pillows on the bed reeked. There were no USB outlets.

A bit dated but good value for the money. Don’t have all the facilities to be called a resort but has the basics- bar, restaurant and some entertainment. Good music from the bar by the pool. The staff are excellent.

This hotel is in a great location within close proximity to beaches, the airport on the Dutch side, and easy travel to the French side. The room was very large with a kitchen area and a living room area that could be closed off from the bedroom area. The biggest issue I have with the hotel is that it is extremely dated (old). The furniture and bathroom fixtures are obviously from more than 20 years ago. The sheets and towels were clean but were also obviously old, not very white, and frayed. Since we didn’t plan on staying a ton of time in the hotel, we booked it and were satisfied. But if you want a great hotel experience with more modern fixtures and linen, you might be very disappointed.

I stayed there on a vacation with family and friends. Our party was total 13 people on 3 separate bookings. The check in was a bit cayotic as the front desk attendant was confused with the reservations. We arrive early and was allow to store the luggage. So we did that and allow them time to sort it all out.
Staff is friendly and attentive and always eager to help overall.
Location close to the airport and within 20 to 30 mins from main attractions.
All the rooms have Jacuzzi’s on the balconies but they were not functioning and the balcony door did not work.
My request for a filter change on the fridge fell on death ears.
But overall experience was good.

The property is older and it's in need of a face-lift. The rooms, although kept clean are so outdate that the toilets have water stains, the grout in tiles in bathroom are dirty and property condition can truly use some updates. The staff was very polite, accommodating and rooms were always clean. Dining options were limited and the food was mediocre.

we've been to
sapphire beach for many years and it has definitely gone down hill. The water pressure in our room went out at least 4 times and had to wait quite awhile. The front desk didn't give and direction or any help at all. If you wanted a cup of coffee you had to pay $1.50. only one choice for dinner each nite. It was a very unsatisfactory stay and we will NOT stay there again!!

In general, the services provided were excellent. The room, bed, bed sheets, and pillows were all ok and clean. In my room 153, the toilet kept running water and I wasn't sure how to stop it. Also, the bathtub didn't have any shower curtains during the shower water spilled everywhere. AC was ok. On a scale of 1- 10, I will give It a 7.5

The bathroom shower didn't work, the toilet barely flushed, the room was dirty and smelled musty. Issues checking in and the key card didn't work.

Great location and ocean view. Well kept and staff and service was excellent. Unfortunately the freezer and the bathroom exhaust was not working, and could not be fixed.

Sapphire is very pretty and easy to get around. Staff is very friendly. It would be helpful to guests if the concierge was on duty more often. She helped me the one day out of a week that I saw her. The food is nothing special. My room was wonderful, with a kitchen and balcony overlooking the ocean.

Large rooms and bathroom. Great water pressure and beautiful views of the ocean and the lagoon. For the price this property is an excellent choice for groups of four.
