Nice hotel on the lakeside, nice breakfast buffet and wellness/Fitness
The heating couldn't be switched on and di it was a bit chilly in the room.
Will come back with warmer weather and dit on the lakeside

Lovely hotel 30 min walk from centre of Utrecht. Very polite and helpful staff. The pool looked inviting but I hadnt swim gear with me. The gym is very basic and too small and too hot. Bar area was lovely. Traffic from the busy road can be heard in the mornings if youre not used to such noise.

Excellent stay! Very comfortable. Especially enjoyed the shower with very good water pressure and the clean bed. Nice place to rest in after a hectic day.

The property was clean and the staff were attentive and friendly.
My partner was doing a course at the University, so the location was good for that. The Uni was only15 minutes drive away.
What we didn't like about our stay was that there's nothing around the hotel. There's a park and a canal and busy road system. That's it.
The town centre is 20 to 30 minutes walk away, which we did walk, there and back every day for dinner, because the hotel restaurant's menu is a bit limited. We did eat there once, which was okay, but we didn't want to it again.
We also didn't like the building. It looks like an office block. Our room was quite large, but also quite basic. All painted white, so quite bleak. Not warm and cosy at all. And that was an upgraded room, which basically meant we were overlooking the canal, rather than the car park.
My partner was at her course on the day we left, so I asked if I could have a late check out, which they said I could, for a charge of 42 Euros. I've never been charged for a late check out before.
The town of Utrecht is a great place. Plenty of bars and restaurant's to choose from and very historic. We did a walking tour one evening, which we enjoyed.
We just wished, we stayed in the town centre and not on the outskirts.

Room and bathroom are very modern and well sound-proofed.
Spa and pool are a real asset tp the stay and really help to unwind and relax.
Breakfast is very generous and you'll gind everything you ever dreamed of.
Dinner menu has changed and is a bit less exciting as a few months back. But still ok.
Staff are very nice and helpful.

While the property is clean, the location is very inconvenient. There was nothing nearby and public transportation was lacking. The staff were not very friendly. During check-in, one staff threw my card and passport back at me. Since she treated other white visitors nicely, I feel it was racially motivated.

Great quiet area, good clean hotel. My only issue is the rooms had no noise buffers.. so basically i can hear the two adjacent rooms and the one direcrly on the upper floor. Oh and expect house cleaning knocking and walking in the room even with the "Do not disturb" sign on the door. Overall, it is family friendly and I loved the lake view rooms..

This was not my first stay at The Mitland nor will it be my last as I highly regard the level of service provided.
I have Parkinson's Disease and thus sometimes require a little help and tolerance when using my scootmobile on the hotel premises.
The staff are great and help however they can whether it be holding a door open or delivering things from the kitchen / bar for me.
This is excellent customer service - nobody could ask for more

Surrounding area of hotel was beautiful… hotel itself was fine, breakfast was ok; staff at breakfast lack politeness and limited English.

A fabulous hotel with really great amenities and great staff. The best bit is the "parking available" is free and plentiful. We'd late lunch after a long trip and it was dire. The city centre is around 20 minutes walk, the bus is 10, so don't bother and enjoy the walk. My wife said the shower in our room was probably the best and most powerful shower she'd ever had. We didn't use the pool etc but it looked lovely. Our lunch by the lake in the sun was a lovely setting.

Far from being a 4 star hotel. Rooms are in bad stand. A superior room is not even supplied with a bottle of water. When I asked at the front desk I was told to drink from the tap in the bathroom. Swimming pool facility was okay but bobble tub is more like a vending machine. You need coins to activate it. Overall, this is more like a 2-3 star hotel. Never going back here.

After our tiring international flight, the Hotel staff made a great effort to make our early check-in possible. Nothing but compliments to them - it was greatly appreciated 👍

Very friendly and helpful staff. All very clean. Breakfast was particularly good, with rolling fresh hot buffet. Bar closed slightly early on Friday night but redeemed themselves on Saturday.

Overall lovely hotel. Room, lobby and bar area were all clean and modern. Room and bathroom were a decent size, spotless and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quick and well stocked. The view from the restaurant is beautiful and peaceful. Our room was ground floor and backed onto the car park so was a little noisy when cars left early in the morning. The only small disappointment was the tea tray in the room. Paper cups, creamer instead of milk and a limited selection of tea was disappointing for a four star hotel.

The breakfast was gorgeous. The superior room had a lot of space and the bath room both shower and tub. The recreation area with gym, pool, steam and ordinary sauna was great.

It is just 20min walk from the city centre via a very enjoyable route, while at the same time with your car you are very well connected to the main motorways A27 and A28 and A2 around Utrecht. So, it is an ideal hotel when you're driving t Utrecht but would prefer not to drive into the city. Other than that, the restaurant is fine, the breakfast buffet is very good and I personally really like the seating / bar area. It is open and spacious and great for meeting friends and business partners.

We have stayed several times at the Mitland always taking the superior lake view rooms. Very nice view from the back of the hotel over the lake. Service from staff in all departments is excellent and we will return again.
