My mother & I stayed recently at Bloomfield and enjoyed every moment,parking right by the front door.We swam in the wonderful pool and then had a really nice meal in the bar/pool entertained by a great guy singing with a dance area.We then strolled down by the lake to see a spectacular sunset before sleeping soundly in a very comfortable bedroom.Breakfast was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I think the lawn could be landscaped thoughtfully to make more of the fabulous setting and more made of the outside seating here...altogether a great restful experience and we will definitely be back again!

Not quite what I was looking for. Long trail to the room. With steps . Weird atmosphere

Staff and facilities were good - but this has to be one of the noisiest hotels I’ve stayed in. We stayed for three nights - first night had to ask a group to be quiet at midnight - second night closed the corridor windows as the AC was so loud - third night thumping music until 1:30am - some form of celebration.

Great Hotel and leisure facilities The food is amazing

Everything was perfect apart from the check in. I phoned a few weeks before my stay to inform the hotel that we would be there before normal check in time and was there anywhere we could change as we were going to a wedding at a different venue. I was initially offered the public toilet in the hotel and then the leisure centre changing area. I phoned on the way to the hotel to see if the room was ready and was given the same answer as to the room availability and the area we could change in. When we arrived at the hotel we again were offered the same facilities for changing. I understand if a room isn't ready but surely there would be a room we could have changed in. The people in reception weren't inclined to check us in as the room wasn't available even when I told them we wouldn't be back until the early hours of the morning and i was worried they would say we hadn't arrived and so give the room away. I had to push to be checked in and then had a strange discussion with a front desk manager who wanted to charge me extra despite the fact I had an email stating the rate for my stay. Admittedly it was a small amount extra but it was the attitude that made me dig my heels in. The rest of the stay was excellent as was the hotel in general but the front desk rules could do with a looking at.

We loved everything about it especially the grounds and lake..we got Engaged there this weeks..only thing did not like was the rain

I was in room 202 and the windows in there really need to be upgraded, there was a bad draft in through the windows which even with the curtains closed was uncomfortable, the curtains were actually blowing

Dirty bathroom ,wouldnt stay there again . Food was 2 out of 10 at best evening waitress staff were very unresponsive , chewing chewing gum wasnt the best look. Shame as it wasn't all bad, breakfast staff were good .it could be a really nice place with some tlc. Charles

We had a two day break courtisy of Hotels .com and Tesco vouchers. Although early in spring we enjoyed our time in the hotel .we enjoyed nice walks around the grounds and lake. The service was excellent at all times and the staff were so friendly at all times. The meals and breakfast were first class. We will book the Bloomfield again for a summer break.

Staff very friendly & looked after us well

Lovely stay very clean and food gorgeous.

Stayed twice, both of which have been pleasant. Rooms clean and facilities good Only somewhat negative point is the service in the bar/grill. Staff seem reluctant to approach your table to take orders, give out menus etc. Noticed others as well as myself going to the bar to order food and pay bills etc.

Wedding day on arrival on the Saturday. Wouldn’t have went near if I knew. Band and noise all day Saturday and Saturday night. Very annoying giving just wanted peace and quiet.

Disappointing, dining area was very dirty with tables uncleared and food on the floor. Showers were not hot. Pool and gym seemed to be public. Grounds and reception are nice. Very much a hotel for functions

The hotel was great. Good food relaxed atmosphere. There was some humming noise all night.

Food was not good, lunch club sandwich with chunky chips great, dinner well done steak was pink inside and no chunky chips, fish in batter that looked and tasted like reheated with very little fish inside staff absolutely fantastic

Most enjoyable stay

Had a lovely stay here, it's in a lovely quiet location with beautiful views.I enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi and also enjoyed a treatment at the spa. I had a great night's sleep even though there was a wedding on due to the great position of my room. Staff were friendly, I had a lovely evening meal and breakfast too. I could not fault this hotel and will definitely be back!

Room and bathroom SPOTLESS. Clever placement of sockets either side of TV with associated mirrors at each side also. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Loads of parking - only thing could be better would be installation of EV charging points (not just one)

Noisy room above the bar. Water smelled like there was mildew in the system. Should be checked. Room needed painted Shower was cold. It was with work and there were no alternatives. I wouldn't be in a rush back.
