Didn’t feel like 4* - said there are 3 restaurants, in fact one one with not that much menu choice and overpriced; said parking available - in fact offered me to park in a car park “5 mins” away for CHF 30 overnight, the park meters outside the hotel start at 7am. Room basic with noise from the road.

Beautiful hotel with a nice view of Lake Lugano. Great rooms. We were upgraded from a Mountain View room to a beautiful lake view at no cost. Thank you hotel Lido Seegarten. The best breakfast ever, the dining area has a view of the lake. I highly recommend this hotel.

A wonderful hotel with amazing swimming pool by the lake, great breakfast and spacious rooms. Everything is clean and comfortable.

Nightmare with parking especially if you have disabilities. Poor assistance. We cut our stay . No one does it for you. Takes a good 15 mins to either walk back after you drop the car off and 15 mins to go pick it up. Front door is on a busy street

To better manage guest expectation I think the Mountain View room should be called Street View since the mountain that can be seen represents perhaps 1% of the view. Also during my stay (October 2022) right in front of my room a very large construction project is taking place and they start pilling before 7am. I would not have booked the room if i had known this.

Do not waist your money. The pictures are very deceiving! The rooms are very small and we viewed a construction lot across the busy street. We asked if we could have a different room with a better view and the answer was If you want to pay more. $250 a night more to view the lake. We already spent over $350 a night. Beds very uncomfortable with a huge crack in the middle. There are NO outlets in the bedroom for cell phones, computers etc. Only 1 outlet in the bathroom with no ledge to put anything on it. The shower is extremely small you cannot bend over or lift your arms & I'm a small person. Tv remote did not work from your bed you had to get up every time you wanted to change the channel. Water was $7.00 Walls in room are stark white with no artwork of any kind. The accommodations were subpar especially for over $350 a night. Very unhappy with our stay.

Great location with superb views. Pool and bar area brilliant. The hotel rooms have been recently renovated and so they are clean and spacious. However the breakfast area was small and the outside tables and area could have been cleaner. The service was either very good or very bad depending on who you were talking to. It felt like some of the staff were there for themselves but others were really good. All in all a great place to stay but very expensive (I guess all Switzerland is expensive) so not good value for money.

A real shame as this could be a wonderful hotel given the historic building, the location and the views...

Hotel was amazing! The restaurant has great food. The breakfast was superb, great and generous spread. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, we were even upgraded to a bigger room with terrace facing the lake for our honeymoon. Parking is eur16 per night at the parking site just opposite the hotel so that’s very convenient. It’s a nice walk to the city center, would be amazing for summer as they have a pool which overlooks the lake and it’s possible to actually go for a swim right from its private jetty.

The breakfast buffet is good with a decent amount of options. I had dinner here as well. The restaurant is perfectly located on the lake with views dor days. However, the pricing is ridiculous...I mean really really expensive for what you get. I ordered lobster soup for 26 CHF thinking there may be a little lobster in it...it’s broth...from more than likely the lobster carcass. The room is very basic. I got one with a balcony and Mountain View, with some view on the lake which is nice. Overall, would recommend...just maybe wouldn’t eat dinner here.

We stayed here for a few nights because it is the only hotel in Lugano that is on the lake (no road between hotel and lake and has a pool.The room was a decent size and seemed modern. Good AC and great view from Athénée balcony. Some rooms are facing the back onto the road. The parking is 16 CHF/night extra. Check in very friendly.

Booked a double occupancy room. When I checked in with my boyfriend they informed me that the reservation only said 1 adult and he would have to pay $100 per night despite the room being for 2 ppl. I paid extra for a double room but they said the reservation has to say 2 ppl. They have cameras set up and anyone not staying at the hotel isn’t permitted in the room or they will charge you. Please be aware. I have never experienced anything like that. We had just traveled for 24hrs and that was the last thing you would want to deal with. The location of the hotel is about a 15-20 min walk from the majority of restaurants and bars. The breakfast was great.

After 2 weeks of strenuous activities from our tour, we are happy to have a couple of days for R&R before our long flight home. Beautiful view & excellent breakfast. Very relaxing. Will return again.

Went for 1 night as was attending wedding nearby. excellent hotel super nice staff. only thing is that the lift works very slow … if you are in a hurry better take the stairs. The buffet breakfast is not to be missed ! super diverse choice.

Incredible service. I have been amazed by the staff, everybody was super helpful and always with a smile. The hotel view from the room was incredible, the building is very pretty and the pool has also an impressive view. Great breakfast overlooking at the lake.
