We arrived late at night after a very long drive. The hotel would not allow us to check-in to the pet-friendly room we had booked online as they had overbooked their pet friendly rooms and had nothing left that would accommodate our dog. The front desk person, Kayla, was very kind and would have checked us in but her offsite, off-duty manager refused. Kayla did call around, again, at 11:30 to try to find a room. Through some miracle, one hotel in town had an available room. If it had not, we would have had to sleep in our car because the Best Western would not budge. We were told it was a mistake on Hotels.com's part which seems illogical knowing that hotels can regulate their inventory with the app. The Hotels.com app showed clearly that the room was a pet friendly one by the way. It was a busy holiday weekend in a small resort town.

Pretty outdated and not super clean but that’s typical for the area. Great location for the bearskin trail and the bartender was nice!

Dingy & musty, long overdue for a complete remodel. If your campsite is rained out, your gear is soaked, and all you want is a dry bed, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you can do better. Barely squeaks a 2-star rating. A huge disappointment. (If you are hotel mgmt reading this, don't offer empty apologies. Actions speak louder than words.)

I couldn’t stand the smell of the room. They sprayed some type of fragrance that was so strong I had to open the window and prop the door . The room wasn’t clean.

I guess “not so good” would summarize my experience. It was run down and dirty. The hotel, in fact the whole city, was booked, otherwise I would have moved. The door to my hotel room clearly had been broken into before as the door frame was badly cracked and somewhat repaired rather poorly. The only way to get the door to close was to force it shut….loudly. The AC didn’t work properly and was leaking a liquid onto the floor. As it was comfortable out I just left the window open as I was on the 2nd floor, however that too was somewhat problematic as the window screen did not fit properly.
However the included breakfast, although nothing special, did have Kringles. So that was a redeeming factor

We paid extra to have a suite. We could not get either TV to work. Called the front desk. They told us to unplug and replug it in. Still did not work. Let the front desk know again in the morning. They said sorry.

This location was ideal! Within walking distance of many points and places of interest. Overlooking the lake. One of the cleanest and friendliest hotels we've ever stayed at. I would highly recommend this location!

It was great we could bring a dog, staff was friendly. However, our room had lights from outside shining in with no way to block out. Also door had gaps where light could get through which the dog would bark because he could see shadows and hear people in the hallway.

Overnight trip with 4 of our children. The room was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The hotel is older, floors a little squishy in spots, the doors very sticky BUT that was part of the charm as well. Loved the closet spaces, we didn't have to trip over our luggage and bags. Walls were somewhat freshly painted, room was clean. Hotel was quiet. Staff friendly. Pool area was well kept and clean, which seems to be harder to come by these days. We will definitely stay again when we return to the area to explore more.

We enjoyed the complimentary full breakfast each day, it was very good. Staff at hotel were quite friendly. One thing though, I didn't have a hair dryer in my room and called down to the front desk. They were'nt able to help me. Very disappointed. There was a funny smell in bathroom, and I think it might be they need a new shower curtain. . Also, I didn't think the mattress was very comfortable. The cleaning staff did a great job and were very friendly. The breakfast staff were very friendly also. We did enjoy our stay.

The room hadn’t been cleaned when we checked in after 4;00 and cleaning crew had gone home and no one could clean the room.

The hotel and pool are in really good condition. You can tell the building has been around for a while due to the layout of the room, but the up-keep and general conditions were great. Staff was really nice, location was ideal!

We had a 3 night stay and everything about the motel was better than we ever expected. We had a beautiful view of the lake which must have been an upgrade because we had booked a room with a partial view. It was a short walk to downtown and restaurants. The room was clean and spacious for two and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again!
