Grand Hotel Sofia is likely the best hotel in Sofia.

Service is always excellent and consistent. Greatest location, restaurant is very good. Coffee is superb.

Beautiful hotel. Staff were very kind, welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. My only complaint is that there was a wedding on our floor (2nd floor) both Saturday and Sunday night and we could hear very loud music until 3AM, so sleeping was difficult. On the days when there weren't weddings, it was quiet. Rooms were large and comfortable. Location excellent!

This is not my first time at Grand Hotel Sofia. I liked it the first time and never used another venue when visiting Sofia. I wrote many positive reviews about it over the years and they rotate around the quality of the rooms, the service desk, the friendly staff e.t.c. and this still stands. What was different this time was that I opted for a room on the rooftop with a terrace overlooking the downtown area. And, boy, was it worth it! The coffee tastes different when you have it on terrace under the early morning sun. The included breakfast was a pretty standard continental breakfast. Good quality handpicked contents, though. Clever variety of juice cocktails. The restaurant continues to operate at elevated standards as always. New chef, I noticed. A few changes to the menu. And still the classy, cozy atmosphere.

The food was good The only negative is that the bartender was a little rude to my husband and the driver in the morning to take us to the airport never showed up. So someone else had to take us which was just fine.

Amazing hotel amazing service, they really make you feel special. Yes old style design, but that did not really matter at all. 5 star quality.

Free upgrade given without asking helped. Good quality 5* hotel. Good value for money too. Most reception staff were friendly. Good even spread air con. Spacious bathroom with all amenities. Shower leaked. Good location although 1.5 miles from railway station.

We are Americans visiting Bulgaria for purposes of an international adoption. We’ve actually stayed at this property multiple times because of the hospitality. I highly suggest this hotel, its classic Bulgarian style is unmatched and staff is super friendly.

A lovely, comfortable room. Good service int eh restaurant, cafe and bar. Negatives: poor drainage in the shower and bathroom sink, low lightling in the bathroom for a woman who's applying makeup.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. This was our first time in Sofia and we were surprised that the hotel was close to the airport and in the City Centre. It was walking distance to everything that we wanted to see. The staff were brilliant, very helpful. Breakfast was excellent and we had dinner at the Shades of Red which is the restaurant at the hotel. Excellent food and service. Thank you to all the staff making our stay there enjoyable.

This is by far the top hotel in Bulgaria and my preferred place when I come to Sofia. Attention to detail is unparalleled for the standard in the country, room size and views are impressive. Excellent location nice spacious hotel room we had a twin room use of gym . Breakfast was decent too

Very centrally located. A lovely hotel with large comfortable rooms. Service was on the whole good, with good variety and at breakfast.
