Great experience

We really enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect for exploring the island. Maho beach was easy to get to and there was a wide variety of restaurants within walking distance. The resort has its own beach, but there is also a nice beach we frequented at Buccaneer restaurant. The resort also included a tour office and dive shop. If we are back in the area, we'll definitely stay there again! Damaged roads are a part of life on the island, but I would expect them to be somewhat better maintained on the resort grounds.

There was no customer service but i will stay this hotel again. Room was a lot of space and i love beach. Not big but very nice❢

I will definitely go back to St Maarten and stay here again.

I stayed at Simpson Bay Marina & Spa with my husband, our 2 daughters and my son. From check in to check out, everything was exceptional!! My first encounter was with Antoine and he was extremely helpful & friendly. The ladies at Juliette were incredible and the customer service was superb!! Our rooms were very spacious and the lovely staff assisted us immediately in setting up the Murphy bed for our girls. Ramon at the pool bar was amazing, warm and friendly! He greeted us by name every morning and was so incredibly kind!! We truly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to come and visit again!! Thank you to all the staff!! Xoxo, Erika & Steven from Brooklyn!!

Although there were many onsite recreation and activities, the convenience of having a shuttle service if needed if we needed to leave the resort to shop in the nearby areas and to get around the hilly grounds was a blessing. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again.

Everything was convenient and accessible because of location and and the shuttle service was excellent on and outside of the property 👍 The concierge personnel were excellent 👍 It’s a huge property but I don’t remember seeing so many pools, big and small, even on huge hotels / that was really very nice and very convenient for all visitors. Then there’s the supermarket that opens so early and better still, closes so late!! The very nice Red Piano bar and casino and all the different restaurants 👍 Fantastic beach all around. The evening to nightlife venues that’s all available and convenient to the hotel’s location and one’s choice of walking or taking the shuttle - we really liked the Buccaneer bar and people there. Everything was more than I expected - thank you, I was very glad I chose Simpson Bay Marina & Spa resort for us and I will not hesitate to highly recommend it to visitors.

Checkin was slow.The front desk personnel didn’t provide much info about the hotel or what amenities are around.We ended up finding a lot of things on our own by walking around and exploring.I would give the rooms and staff 2/3 stars depending on who you encountered and where you are staying.I asked for a higher room and was given a ground floor room on 2nd floor that didn’t have a properly working A/C. Hotel was very empty as it’s not season so I knew they had rooms available but chose not to give us one. I called the front desk after we came back from grabbing dinner and walking around where I was asked by front desk why I didn’t notice the room was hot when I came to it.We had a long flight, left our stuff in the room, turned the a/c to the lowest setting and left.Why question a guest? This was 11pm at this point.They sent a security guard who was amazing and walked with me to two different rooms to make sure the A/C was working as I was not going to move again.Finally 3rd room had working a/c.Well in the morning I went to return the keys from prior room and the front desk told me I only have that room for 1 night.No one told me and we had unpacked everything and even bought groceries.So onto room 4.Staff around the hotel was a hit or miss. Some I felt like were on vacation with me.Laid back and chilling while others busted their butts off.Pools were dirty. Food was ok/great at the restaurants.At the beach the employee wouldn’t let us have a laying chair at 530pm.

I loved my stay here. Everyone was kind and accommodating. The best view I’ve had to date from a balcony. Thank you for this will needed vacation time

My overall stay was good for the price. However I did not like that my room was all the way in the back! The property is huge and we needed a shuttle to get to the front! The shuttle stops at a certain time so if you’re going out at night you’ll have to figure it out! Taxis aren’t allowed past a certain point! If you have a rental car you’re fine if not, good luck! Also the food at the restaurants is way overpriced and not that good! It’s best to go out to the main strip and eat. The rooms are spacious and have little kitchens in them

On the beach, lively location

Beautiful resort & had a slight problem the day B4 our checkout but the Resort MGR comped to our satisfaction.

Check in too time consuming. Have to pay additional to use the gym. Beach bar and bar staff were great.

This was our 2nd stay at the resort, however, this time around was much more enjoyable than the first. Check-in was better than the first time but still slow. Our room was ready upon arrival and we slept well. The housekeepers and grounds men were all pleasant. We enjoyed our stay so much so that we extended for an additional night and we are eager to return. Lawrenda

I liked the location, easy parking, the view and the cleanliness.

This is a great place for families. We loved our room, the pools, the restaurants and the friendly staff. Definitely recommend. Close to a lot of area restaurants and local nightlife.

Over all a very nice place

The location was beautiful. The resort is on a hill and not all rentals are near the beach. There is quite a walk down and up a hill to get to the beach front. There needs to be more flexibility with check-in/check-out to accommodate people travelling long distances. Housekeeping and grounds crew were very nice but the lobby staff and security was not.
