An older traditional Balinese style accomodation. Very friendly family accomodation. Delicious freshly cooked breakfasts and accomodating staff. It was surprisingly quiet considering its position on Legian street, close by to night clubs etc.
The water pressure was very low and hot water took ages to come through. this is our only feedback to the venue.

Very old run down room that need a complete renovation. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The grounds were very nice but room was dirty and falling apart. Plus after parking my bike in the wrong spot the security guard said 'f#%k you' after i questioned him. Wasn't happy with the managers response either who almost justified it with no apology. Not at all worth the money. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I have stayed at Matahari bungalows 5 times with my 9 year old son we started going there 4 years ago and as always we are welcomed by the staff like we’re family. Hotel is very clean and the pool and Garden are very well maintained will return in September David and Dennis

A great traditional style hotel with amazing staff. Rooms very clean and large. Nice restaurant with a great breakfast. Swim up bar in a large pool with beautiful well maintained large gardens.
Walking distance to great restaurants, bars, markets etc.
Tucked in behind Ice Ice Bali on JL Legian, this place is a hidden gem.

Always a pleasure staying here. I have been visiting this hotel for over 20 years. Have always had a lovely holiday with clean rooms and really friendly staff. Service is great.

The breakfast could include local dishes such as nasi goreng. In general, great place to stay. Great pool. Staff are friendly. Relaxed place walking distance from the hustle bustle.

We were upgrade to room 39 due to my husband having knee issues which was really great, however this was a very noisy room due to the connecting door.

Wow what a beautiful resort. It’s a credit to the manager. My room was super clean and daily serviced. All the staff are so friendly and happy. One day it was raining and I had a few bags, this lovely guy helped me and carried them all the way to my room on the 3rd floor. I didn’t know at the time it was the manager of the resort. Breakfast had lots of choices. The grounds are beautiful and maintained daily. Thank you to all the staff for making my holiday enjoyable. When returning to Bali this will be my choice to stay

At first our AC was not working, so they moved us into another room and were fixing the AC in our okd room the next day, which was great.
Location is excellent and, si ce our last stay, the area has gotten more lively, but you are still able to escape at Matahari.

Great hotel tucked away from the main street but close to everything as well. Couldn't hear any traffic noise, staff were always friendly and helpful.

Was excellent for the price paid although the bathroom could be nicer. It was clean but old.
I used the room as a transit room between check out from one hotel until airport the same night. For that reason I say the resort was great. The gardens are beautiful and the pool looks amazing.

The property's location was walkable distance to all restaurants and shopping. Pool was clean with swim up bar and had plenty of sundecks. We were in the Suite which was beautiful with separate bath and shower. Highly recommend. The breakfast was basic but nice. All the staff were friendly and hepful. Would recommend this hotel.

Good location in the centre of Kuta. Beautiful, traditional architectural style. Tranquil gardens with a swimming pool. Great restaurant.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The gardens, pool and staff were all amazing. The breakfast is also very good and the rooms are comfortable. Few mosquitoes flying around but that’s everywhere in Indonesia. Tried multiple room types and can say that the deluxe pool view room was the most comfortable for the price. The suites are luxurious but at a higher price. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay again. It’s very quiet and not too social so not ideal for solo travellers, but great for couples and families or those who want some quiet time.

Just spent a week here and enjoyed ourselves so much the pool and gardens are beautiful with a wide open space and lillypad pond and scattered gazebos and seating areas. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Thr breakfast was ordered off a menu with a fruit platter and juice and coffee to be ordered. This hotel has a few different room types to choose from. The more tradional and the more modern. Its very centrally located withon easy reach of shops and restaurants and 5/10 mins walk to the beach. We will be back for sure. Thank you for a wonderful break.

Nice hotel right in the heart of the action. Outside (front) is a bit plain, but once inside it looks great. Pool with swim up bar was nice and warm. Staff were all fantastic !!

The resort is very nice, more than i expected. People are great, always ready to help. The room should be redecorated but that's not a big deal, we are not going on holiday to spend our day in the room. The swimming pool is great. The hotel is in the middle of the town but in the garden we fell like in the forest.
Thanks to all the staff to make my time so nice.
