I stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful hotel. Comfortable. Clean. Good location. My only gripe was when checking in they said that to be more climate friendly they have a policy of making up the rooms every other day unless I request otherwise. That includes cleaning the room, emptying the garbage, making the beds, new towels, etc. Immediately I said I 'd like my room serviced for both nights. My request was not honored and my room was not serviced. THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECT FROM THE SAVOY HOTEL.

Convenient to station, but not a pretty area.

So much to like about this Hotel that the few minor niggles seem a bit insignificant - yet we were still surprised. However, they put right everything without fuss.

Amazing stay. Really fun design, the team is amazing and we loved how close it was to the train station. We’ll be back next week!

Excellent location, very friendly staff. Poor shower in the room. I didn’t have the breakfast as I thought it was overpriced.

Mega tolles hotel

The hotel was nice aesthetically, but the pillows need work. There also was not an outlet by the bed which wasn't great.

Liked that all staff were excellent. The bar tender was in particular very knowledgeable and provided excellent services. The front desk as well tried to be extra help FY calling museums to ask questions for us. Liked the hotel overall. Did not like that there was no kettle tea or coffee in the room. Room light switches were hard to work. Also there was no English TV channels besides CNN. Surprising since there were many other languages besides German just not English.

Very good hotel. The only thing I liked a bit less was the exuberant style of the decoration : an overdose of kitsch, glitz and glam, tinsel, and bling-bling. One aspect of this : it takes some practising to turn on or off the lights in the room. Apart from this : high scores on all points that really matter : very clean, good service, friendly people.

Booked a twin bed room. The toilet has a sliding door and it’s not able to close properly. It means you can hear everything. The hotel advertises for having a sky bar. It was closed the whole weekend - The weather was perfect. Not ok!

This was my second stay at the Savoy. I found my first Savoy experience to be wonderful; however, my recent stay did not quite equal my first experience. First, all hotel staff during both stays were extremely friendly, courteous, and professional. Check in was speedy and efficient. I was offered the opportunity during check in to upgrade my room, but I opted to keep my original standard double. The room was small, but not cramped. The Savoy is known for its artsy/unconventional decor, and my room was no exception. The aggravating aspect of the design was how dark the room was. The absence of traditional lighting combined with black countertops and furniture made it extremely difficult to see and function normally in the room. I felt that convenience and practicality had become the victim of “trendiness.” Light controls were difficult to find in the bathroom, and due to the general absence of light, my frustration grew with passing time. Another less than impressive aspect of the room was the bed - it had a noticeable sag in the middle. On average- after two stays at the Savoy - I give it a better than average rating. I will give it another try on my next visit. There are, however, simple changes that need to be made to make this a highly rated choice for me.

I was here for just 1 night and it was my birthday so they made sure my room had a bath tub as I requested. I loved staying here and will stay again

Rooms are big and confortable.Surprised me to have a whirlpool in the room .5 minute walk from the train station

The customer service is amazing as soon as you walk through the door. I had booked a single-bed room but was upgraded to a double with a beautiful view of the Koeln dom, perhaps since it was less busy. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable and even the bedsheets are almost silent. I cannot comment on the spa, breakfast or lounge as I did not have time to check them out but I would definitely stay here again.
