Very cool property, conveniently located. Love it!

Staff was fantastic! Everyone was more than willing to give suggestions and this is so much better than the motel options in the area!

Staff was extremely friendly! We really enjoyed our room. Even ended up staying an extra night. Room was very clean!

It was so amazing that they have fire pit outside and other amenities like pool. Only drawback was a thin walls, i heard person snoring next room all night long

Lovely property & views. We felt so relaxed & comfortable. The staff were all so friendly & kind. The food & drinks were top notch! Most unique & delicious menu! The rooms were clean & beautifully redone. There’s no carpeting or rugs & footsteps from upstairs could be heard, but was minor in our opinion as everything else was wonderful!

Our stay at The Trailborn was fabulous, upon arrival our kiddos were greeted with bingo cards they were encouraged to fill during our stay for a prize. We also arrived during the complimentary s’mores time frame (5-9pm) which was amazing after being on the road all day! We entered into an extremely clean room, with a tent (we booked this in advanced) and elk stuffies for our kiddos to stay & play in during our stay. Beds were comfortable and the Grown Alchemist shower products were relaxing and perfect scents. We love that the room includes use of the cooler (really clean!) so we packed breakfast (overnight oats and parfaits from Casa Colina) got ice from the lobby and went on our way to enjoy RMNP! The fact that coolers and ice are so easily accessible makes planning for a day out so much easier! We loved Jason from Casa Colina, he was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and super awesome all around with drinks and food recommendations. Everything was delicious, the guac is legit and the chicken tingas tacos were incredible, don’t sleep on that! My husband ordered almost each type of taco during our stay and the bowls and liked all of them, especially the mushroom taco. Kiddos menu is perfect for us, pb&js is so our level right now. We loved our stay and look forward to returning here/checking out the new Trailborn locations opening! TL/DR: Highly recommend, super clean, fabulous kind staff, awesome extras!

The rooms are newly renovated and clean. Very basic for the price. We paid $498 for a one-night stay. If you go, ask for a second level room. Ours was on main level and you could hear every single footstep going on above. Never had that issue before at a hotel. Just disappointed for the price.

We absolutely loved our stay at Trailborn.

The pictures are very deceiving. The rooms are very small and the property grounds are unkept. There is no grass. Just dirt where grass is supposed to be. The pool was broken while we were there. Staff only cleaned our room two of four days and both days the cleaning only included replacing towels. No actual cleaning was done. We had piles of garbage in our room because they only took the garbage once.

Newly remodeled and looks beautiful. Right on the main road into town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Seems like they just opened and are getting their game dialed in. It was a little noisy with the road. There’s a restaurant in the building, and a nice patio with a fire pit you can sit around. They had a local musician performing and he was very good, so that was fun. Pretty easy walk around the corner to the main part of the town and walking along the river. Estes Park in general was very busy, with a lot of traffic. But we walked around a fair bit and it was mostly good.

Pool was brown. People were making noise at all hours of the day and night. Front desk didn’t know how to bill a bottled water to the room. Food at the restaurant wasn’t good. It felt like a crappy motel that someone renovated with Home Depot supplies.

Pool not operable. No sign warning you it was closed. Busted cement in parking lot. No towels in room on check in. Fire pit not operable. Staff was good and doing their best but clearly should not have reopened this redone property so early.

Pros: Good vibe, comfy beds, friendly staff. Cons: Too tiny of a bathroom, no luggage rack, hair on bed upon arrival, door that stuck to open/close (switched rooms), housekeeping less than stellar (didn't clean room while we were out hiking from 6am-2pm; once cleaned room, didn't provide new mugs, out of creamer), communication confusion with housekeeping when asked to clean room before 3pm (they came and then when left someone else knocked on door asking to clean the room). Restaurant menu not flesible to order sides like a side of eggs. Eggs provided in breakfast taco or burritto, but not by itself.

I was surprised it is actually a motel, not a hotel as advertised, I don’t like to have door opening right to the outside. Staff was nice, rooms were updated, clean. Bed was comfortable. Pictures made it seem bigger. Nice stay overall. Would recommend a full picture of the outside so people fully understand.

Excellent property! Staff were incredible. Room and lobby decor were top notch. Loved the branding and all the little details. S’mores every night was the icing on the cake. Great place for my husband and 2 sons (11 and 13) to stay. We will be back!

Very nice and new hotel. Staff seems green and inexperienced. We asked for bike rentals and they said all the bikes have flat tires? Very pricey for what you get, but location is great.

This was the Perfect place to stay. The property (fire pit and s'mores), the staff, ALL of it... The location is Great. So glad I stayed here.

This hotel is newly renovated which allowed for everything to be updated and new. Unfortunately there’s no air conditioning. It’s noted on the Expedia website they have air conditioning but upon arrival we were told they have “heat, windows, or fan”. To clarify the fan is a huge box fan you purchase at Walmart. Our room was 78 degrees and we couldn’t cool it down at all as it’s unsafe to leave the windows open. It was also only a high of 65 that day and got down to 45 that night. Our room stayed steady well above 75. This should be taken into consideration for anyone traveling during the warmer temperatures. I wouldn’t stay there again until they have updated their system to include air conditioning.

The air conditioning was not working. It was hot in the room. The $250 incidentals fee at checkin that would be refunded 3-5 business days after our stay if nothing was damaged in the room was unexpected and excessive.charging people double the price of their room at checkin is deceptive especially for a three star hotel.

Maybe it was pre-session but they were new and not familiar with all the ways going on, also, the restaurant was operated for one day and that's it, with limited menus and very poor service. Pay attention to your bill as they did some over or extra charges and the only ones I adress to the GM take care of. Nice concept and nice rooms but not yet there as a place to preterm back.

The lodge is new so everything is shiny, clean, and modern with minimal lines and decor. It’s a good location with easy walking access to downtown. Unfortunately, our room was very bright at night due to the exterior lighting. The walls are thin and you will hear your neighbors, especially if your room is near (or directly under) the stairs to the second floor. It looks like the outdoor fire pit and pool will be really nice this summer. I’d stay here if I was a heavy sleeper and/or wanted to be close to downtown and the Stanley. I wouldn’t stay for a relaxing, peaceful get away. Bring ear plugs and an eye mask! The restaurant food was ok. The staff are all friendly and helpful!

This hotel used to be a run down motel. They have being doing a remodel and the work they have done is outstanding and now it borders on being one of the best in town. My wife and I along with my service dog were welcomed warmly and were provided with excellent service, and a very clean and comfortable room. The restaurant on site had a nice breakfast. Safe, nice place. High marks all the way around.

Nice and modern newly renovated motel. Only complaint is that they didn't have any cribs. Great location convenient to RMNP and downtown Estes.

Price is excellent. They remodeled an older motel from what I know, and they did a good job but things like being able to hear the neighbors are still a thing. The rooms are small, but I'd stay here again. They are probably the NICEST and most attentive staff ever. Free S'mores, check in was easy and quick; they called before we arrived to ask what we'd need. Definitaly 5 star staff and marketing.
