Place is too far. Out of the way. Nothing around. Staff is ok. Hotel and grounds are nice, but, hard to enjoy. Seems to be on the the edge of closing. Sad.

Very nice hotel; a little remote though. It takes some time to get to Cebu city. There is plenty to do at the hotel; it has a nice restaurant and bar, the grounds are lush and beautiful. Front desk staff was outstanding, Housekeeping staff was greatI would stay at the Cebu Resort again, but would first decide what I wanted to do. If you want a place to relax that has all the amenities you need, its a great place. If you want to go into Cebu City to shop or dine more than one time, it would be good to consider a different location.

The property exceeded my expectations, rooms adequate,pools exceptional solid 3 stars

AC was not cool enough for family room, too small. need to request for an electric fan. plated food served for dinner was the same menu and served for lunch.

Rooms are very dated Right under flight path so I have planes wake me up at 7amIt is located a long way from anywhere and you cant just leave and walk about

its always a pleasure staying at the alta , from the arrival when you are greeted with a complimentary drink and friendly staff to when you leave , it really is a fantastic place , not far from mactan airport , with swimming pools , lovely rooms and very nice food , if i had to find something to complain about it would be the price of the food , as having eaten in other hotels and restaurants i find that alta is a bit too pricey ! still there are other places to eat and it is the only fault i could possibly find ! to finish i would say just go there and enjoy !

The room was decent and spacious. The mattress was very comfortable. The staff were very good and the hotel grounds are beautiful with 2 pools.

We had a wonderful time together at Alta. The service was so wonderful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Our tour was awesome and the driver we had was so patient and made us relaxed.

enjoyed the room and breakfast buffet, the beach was nice also we had a wedding here

Kind Staff, Clean rooms and the noise of the airplanes is not as cruel as the people might write in there comments. Especially if you use this hotel only for the stay over night it is quite nice at affordable prices if you book an early bird deal. Not to recommend for older people but quite good for younger ones. Too recommend for long stay and joining with the family and friends.

Bassenget ble avstengt for oss andre av samme grunn. Innflygning til Mactan airport rett over resorten.Dårlig mat. Svært dårlig vakthold i forhold til de andre resorter. Ingen port som kunne stenges om natten. Vi ville flytte til et annet sted, men fikk ikke refundert pengene. Her anbefaler vi ingen å bo selv om betjeningen gjorde sitt beste. Nice pictures on the advertisement, but the resort was enclosed in forests and there were poor lighting conditions. There was a lot of noise all night by festive guests who used the outdoor area for private arrangements. The pool was not avalible for us for the same reason. Approach to Mactan airport right across the resort. Disappointing food. Very poor guarding. No gate that could be closed at night. We wanted to move to another place but did not get the money refunded. We recommend nobody to stay here even though the emploees did their best.

If youre looking for glass and stainless steel go to chain hotel where you cant tell whether youre in New York or New Delhi, this place has a character all of its own it was very quiet as far as other guests there but the conference side was very busy apart from the occasional cheers from the conference rooms didnt really notice that though.

Alta is a wonderful place to stay , i have stayed here numerous times now and always love going back , the staff are great , hotel is great , i could go on and on but think best thing to do is just visit for yourself .

We came in a bit late but they did not have the confirmation number so they asked us to wait for more hours. They only reacted after we demanded to check in right away. The heater was not working and the bed was uncomfortable. No remote control for TV. It was just not worth it.

It was probably not the best day to visit the hotel. Completely understaffed, incompetent and dirty dishes all over the place. I had no choice than to stay one night since its very remote located from everything. I cancelled my 3-night take my losses and booked somewhere else. I dont understand Expedias recommendations on this hotel

Positive; The facilities of the hotel are great. I particularly loved the garden and the bay area. One of the two swimming pools is shallow and good for children. The staff are generally shy but a few of them became very friendly in the end. Bar and music were great for those who enjoyed them. Food is OK.Negative; Spa (jacuzzi) was out of order. The staff never offered anything unless we requested. The touring manager was quite unreliable - he gave us wrong information and did not give us important information. Packed breakfast for early departure we had ordered previous day was not ready at the time of departure. The music and other hotel guests were very loud until late night and we had to make a complaint to stop them. Inconvenient location.

The rooms are adequate. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. You can hear the big planes approaching Mactan airport.

I have stayed at Alta many times over the years. I enjoy the garden surroundings, cool pools, spa, and restaurant. It is a lot more homey than other hotels. It has a pool table and climbing wall for kids, and a pool, spa, and nice restaurant for adults. My bed was very comfortable...a temperpedic style mattress with plenty of room. The bathroom had plenty of closet space, the television large and clear. It doesn't have a beach, but you can walk out to the water via a skywalk. I've been to beaches on Mactan, and they aren't really worth paying for. Mactan is usually a good basecamp for other things in the area...snorkeling the fish sanctuary, visiting whale sharks, visiting Bohol...but you are near the major airport. Other than the really nice and personal staff, and gardens, and nice homey room, I enjoy this area. All of Philippines suffers from dire poverty, and even Marco Polo is a stone's throw from extremely depressed areas. This area is not different except that it is as the more remote end of small Mactan island and it feels more provincial to me. The people are friendlier, and you don't see the naked street kids sleeping on the street that can be so hard to witness in the city. You can get a measured dose of the Philippines here...take jeepneys and pedicabs to Lantaw restaurant about 10 mins away, or take it easy in the nice restaurant on site.
