A quaint hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was small but sufficient. No AC with the summer heat resulted in a warm room. It would cool off at night by opening the windows, but without screens there were lots of bugs. I woke up to two bees in the bathroom and many bug bites. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

We were met by Andreas who is a wonderful and energetic person. We stayed there for one night in July; free easy parking; 10 minute walk to the rose garden and another 5 minutes to the old town. Two great restaurants nearby (make reservations); The rooms dont have AC but with the fan and windows open it was very comfy; delicious breakfast too. thank you

The hotel is nice. They have free breakfast which was very good. Only issue was no Air Condition. First couple of days it was very hot, about 90 degrees. They don't have any A/C. We wish they would have A/C. They also don't have any refrigerator.

We received an excellent recommendation from the desk manager for a walking route to the town center via the Rosengarten and then a return via tram. The hotel was a bit dated and there was no air conditioning but we still enjoyed our stay since the location was convenient.

Daniel and the rest of the staff were amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful with ideas for seeing the city and getting around. Highly recommend for solo travellers or couples. The free breakfast and public transit passes made getting around the city easy and accessible.

The welcome was very warm and the information passed during check in regarding our ability to use the buses and trams free of charge etc. was excellent. The room was comfortable and warm and the shower (always an important consideration in my book) was excellent. Fabian was on duty at the desk both when we arrived and left and he was an absolute credit to the hotel. I would have absolutely no hesitation in staying again.

Clean and modern single roooms are about twice as large as single rooms at some other hotels, quiet, 3 min walk to bus and rail, or 15 min walk to old downtown, grocery 5 min walk,

Amazing staff, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. An easy tram ride from the train station, this hotel is located in a lovely area near the Rosengarten which is ideal for strolling through.
One thing to note, if you are claustrophobic like me, ask the lovely staff for a room without bars on the window - 99.9% of people won't care about this, but I didn't love it.

It is fairly far from the train station, so you will need to take the number 9 tram across town from the Hbf. We had a great host (Andreaus?) who was funny, knowledgeable and helpful. We like the shower and the bed was comfortable. Appreciate having a fridge in hall and we liked the drinks cooler in the foyer that works on the honor system. There is a good cold breakfast and good coffee available throughout the day. A bus/tram passis included. Room has a hot pot and coffee and tea and it has a room safe. There is easy to use wifi and Bern pass for bus/ tram.

We were greated by the owner who had already everything set up for us and were very friendly to explain everything about the hotel and the area. He also gave us a very good suggestion of a restaurant to go. The hotel is very clean and recently renovated. The breakfast was awesome! Nice touch to have a documentary about the area on TV

Overall fair but expensive for its price . Good if you are getting to Bern by car with easy access to the city by tram .

The hotel is located on a very quiet street and a block from the bus line into old town Bern. The staff were friendly and helpful. We asked about directions to drop off our rental car and we were delighted to be given info on the tram/ bus line back to the hotel plus a recommendation of a quick side trip to a cog train to a fantastic view we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. The included breakfast was more than adequate too.

To get to your floor you had to take two different elevators. When we left one elevator was not working so we had to try and get to the lobby with our two big suitcases down several flights of stairs then we were locked out of the lobby.
We got bad directions to a near resturant.
