My first business trip overnight. Very convenient and comfortable.i struggled to sort out my heating system and the manager came to help me out herself. Very lovely front of house staff

It is my second time staying at Kelvin Hotel and i just appreciate the consistency of both the staff and room presentation. This has now become my business trips layover for Invercargill without a doubt.

The staff were really nice. Restaurant great. That is where it ends. This is a 1960-70 ear no money spent in the rooms. I had a double bed that was I think 1970 smelly old duvets. No real heater in the room a little noisy panel thing that really down nothing. Cold shower crap pressure. I don’t call it a hotel. It is a back packers at best

Updated bathroom, but I swear that the bed is from the 1980’s. The constant chirping from the crossing signal outside the window added much-needed ambiance. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Very Outdated rooms and my bathroom wasn’t very clean. Lots of noise in hallway over night from other guests, they did provide parking which was good

Generally vgood. 1 improvement would be the lack of consistency of hot water flow in shower.

We cant rate the Kelvin hotel highly enough. We stayed there during the Bluff Oyster festival and attended a different large function. Despite the hotel being fully booked,nothing was a problem. This included making my husband a beautiful toasted sandwich & chips very late at night, when most hotels wouldve said the kitchen was already closed. The weather was freezing wind & rain,but the hotel & our room was very cosy. Its located within easy walking distance of the CBD,& has secure parking. The free parking was a huge bonus,as over 1000 were at the same event as us,so many had to walk a very long distance. We would highly recommend the Kelvin to anyone.

Central location, walkable to shopping centre. Room was clean and comfortable but windows were filthy. Don’t eat in the restaurant- chicken salad was inedible.
