It feels like 1 or 2 star hotel at best, the room had the ac and the hairdryer, which were the only good thing I can say about it. Uncomfortable beds, the shower where I, a woman size small, couldn’t wash my hair without my elbows hitting the shower walls, nowhere to put your toiletries, neither in shower, nor at the sink. The breakfast was ok, the staff was ok. There is no spot near the entrance where you can park to load/unload your luggage. Wouldn’t recommend more than one night and only if you need to be in the region.

Lovely old fashioned hotel and the room we had enjoyed a sea view (and even a view of fireworks one evening). However, maybe not suitable for older people as the road leading up to the hotel is quite steep which could be problematic in extreme heat. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice. Hotel staff were very friendly.

Gorgeous hotel. Authentic and full of character. Friendly staff, fabulous breakfast in a beautiful garden. Great location for Old Town and the train station. Will return here next time I visit Villefranche.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. Staff were amazing, patio a lovely area for pre-dinner drinks and beautiful breakfast in the garden.

We loved our stay at this art deco hotel which has been sympathetically restored. The outside area where you could eat, drink or relax was surrounded by really attractive plants. The service was friendly and on the whole good. Breakfast well worth paying for. Things to be aware of; smallish rooms, located up a steep hill from the front, if you want a taxi book in advance.

Everything was absolutely great! Very friendly staff and very helpful. I will absolutely come back and will definitely refer it out to my friends.

Kamilla (sp?) was wonderful at the front desk as well as the other young lady! Nicholas was a great bartender as well!

Old fashioned comfortable and friendly

I guess this is a typical French old fashioned provincial hotel. Room was small, shabby and poorly equipped. Badly in need of a bit of an update and redecorating. Very small lift. Difficult parking sutuation if you have a car. Not a bad breakfast. They operate a strange "ecological" system which involves tying a green ribbon to your door handle... great... so we did it... only to return to our room to find that it hadn't even been made up. Seemed like just an excuse to save on the house - keepers time. Not sure on the ecological relevance. Villefranche is lovely... but I don't think we will stay at Hotel Provencal if we return.

We loved staying here! The view was unbelievable with access to 3 balconies, hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, and town was beautiful. We hope to be able to come back again in the future.

Charming!! Old school but we love that!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property is very clean and easy to find, with modern design updates that made a obviously classic hotel feel like a total hidden gem. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing.

Le provincial was a perfect hotel for our stay in ville franche sur mer. Located just up the hill it made our travels to and from the waterfront very easy. So many great food options and shops line the small beautiful streets and set the most spectacular waterfront. The hotel was the perfect option to use as our base you bounce around the south of France with a train right in villefranche that gets you to nice, eze, Monaco and menton all within minutes. We will be dreaming of our stay there for a long time and hope to be back soon!

This is an incredible hotel. The devour is beautiful. The staff are very friendly. The situation is perfect. We had a beautiful view of the sea. The breakfast was sumptuous. Would 100pc return!

Great hotel in the stunning town of Villefranche-sur-Mer! Very friendly staff, comfortable & clean rooms and a lovely terrace bar for sundowners! Great value.

Great location, for us…spent five nights, very simple accommodation/clean, bed and breakfast (extra:))…front desk/employees try their best to accommodate. No carpet in the room and love it. If to come back, would stay there again (if same room or better)

Lovely hotel for a short stay in Villefranche-sur-Mer. Room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. Plenty of hot water and shower very forceful - only criticism is that the shower head was a little too low for us. Buffet breakfast is excellent, and can be taken outside in the garden or on the terrace, which is very pleasant. Would definitely recommend and expect to visit again ourselves.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is perfectly located for the old town, just 1m walk away, and only 5m to the beach. The hotel has great character and with breakfast included served in their pretty garden we could not have asked for more. All the staff were really friendly and helpful too. We wont be looking any further next time we visit the gorgeous Villefranche.

Fantastic location

Absolutely beautiful view from my room - sea view (3rd floor - highest). Very comfortable bedding and overall satisfied with my one night stay. The bathroom was a bit retro, but everything was working, so did not have a problem at all. Very kind receptionists, hotel staff and nice lobby. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo of the bathroom.

Very good location

Very clean and cozy hotel close to everything in Villefranche. The AC could have been better when it's 30 C/90 F outside, particularly in July when it's very warm at nights as well. The breakfast in the garden is lovely, and the overall feel is very homey.

The room sizes are good. The room is simple but it has everything you need as a traveller. The room has a nice view of mountains which was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I highly recommend this place.

Adorable little hotel that needs some work. Nice staff. Rooms are fine but smelled when you walked in. Not sure if it was dirty cleaning water they used and garbage in hallway. Breakfast was very good in their cute outdoor area and location is great. If they just check their cleaning I would stay again.
