Worst experience ever I personally recommend not to stay in this hotel instead sleep in the car if you have only option left , there’s nothing to be happy about smelly like rotten potatoes unhygienic everything including rooms pathetic!!

Loved every minute of the stay. It was just one night, but the service was wonderful, the room was clean and spacious and the food was excellent. One small point, i asked for a room with a bathtub, but didn't get one.

I arrived at around 2am, there was no one at the reception for my checking as the hotel manger on duty was asleep on the sofas, his colleagues tried to wake him and he told them to go away even though he seen me stood at the desk, then eventually he got up to check me in after some time. The pool was really dirt it looked like it was full of oil you could not see the bottom of the pool, room service food was always cold and of poor quality which often left me with an upset stomach. The lamp in my room was not working, the air conditioner was also not working for the first 4 days. There was no swim up bar in the pool as advertised, breakfast buffet room was too smokey to sit in. I would not stay here again and I would not recommend it. I added my friend onto the booking and discussed this several times with Expedia who confirmed my friend had been accepted to the room booking by the hotel, however when myself and friend Reyes to enter the hotel she was told she was not allowed in, I explained to the manager that this hotel had confirmed that she was able to stay and had proof, despite showing several emails from the hotel and Expedia the manager refused to let her enter, this problem went on for around an hour and again I had to call Expedia and tomallow them both to discuss the problem I was having. Eventually the manager aloud my guest to stay, he was rude and really hard to reason with. Wifi reuquires a pass word at least every 7 hours so you have to go back and forth.

I had a very bad experience. The food was bad . They chef was stupid i asked him fried fish he gave me fish with lots of red mirchi powder in it. I don't know what he was thinking. The staff were stupid. The room was wrongly alotted to me i had to run here and there to get it rectified. Wrong property. Wrong price. Wrong place. Wrong food.

This property is nice to stay with decent rooms and available services. Its in the heart of Calangute beach area,near to Baga and Candolim beachs as well. We reached on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi when whole Goa was on leave and busy in celebration, which affected the services of this hotel too.As they couldnt send airport pick up(as promised earlier) on the day of arrival, they have reimbursed the Airport taxi fare for the same. Break fast buffet was very sumptuous and filling.Except few service glitches,we got very satisfactory service by Neelams The Grand.

I went to this awesome hotel with my lovely wife on a vacation. We both were thrilled with this hotel and the location where it is situated. Room was clean and nicely organized! I will definitely come and stay at this awesome hotel again!!

I had stayed in this hotel for 4 nights 5 days. The hotel staff was helpful. The only problem was with morning breakfast, every morning they had same menu. Overall I was a good stay.

I planned my travel on Holi. Started from Pune early in morning and when I reached Goa it was all Hot and Humid and barely felt like doing anything. After checking-in and going through the lobby to my room by pool side..that small walk itself took almost half of my tiredness. Room was BIG, clean and cozy.

Variety of food in menu, room service, resto-bar and Buffet breakfast are all very good.
and top of all the locality, its soo close to Calangute beach and other tourists places that you never feel like "not" being able to plan and do something. Its like everything can be done.
My thumbs up for the hotel and hotels.com for making this trip an unforgettable memory in my life.

This hotel was better than I expected for a hotel is India. The room was nice and well kept. The bathroom wasn't bad but could have used more cleaning and updating. They had live music every night I was there but sometimes it went a little too late and made it hard to sleep. The staff was great and willing to keep visitors happy and the breakfast was good too, they had a lot of variety. Overall the hotel was much better looking than the others I saw in the area and is width considering.

The stay was all "ok" except for the room cleanliness. Room was not up to the mark at all. Don't know how the hotel is rated as 3 star.

2. Toilet is having yellow stains.
3. Living room wall paint is all flaky.

5. No HD channels in the TV. Not even regular channels with good clarity.
6. Water from the taps is smelling rusty.
7. Malfunctioning of the split AC.
Up on bringing the above to the managers notice, he was very arrogant and did not even care to resolve the issues. Later, his manager came up with some courtesy and listened to the concerns patiently. I was informed that the hotel will undergo renovation soon. But, I still, don't understand how the hotel was rated as 3 star.

We really enjoyed our stay in Neelam's The Grand from 3rd to 6th October'2014. Staff and hospitality were great and so was the complimentary breakfast.

I had a really comfortable stay here at neelam's the grand . Truly one of the best properties at calangute. I couldn't stop myself from extending my stay from 3 nights to 5 nights. Awesome buffet awesome pool. Awesome service. And awesome location. Nearby happening places and market.

The hotel staff is non cooperative. There was a misunderstanding between expedia and the hotel because of which the airport shuttle had to be paid by me. Also the hotel staff is rude. Overall it was one of the worst experiences I ever had.

Reserve a room with pool view otherwise you will be very disappointed. More English speaking staff can make one's stay better.
Could not understand why pool is not for use after 19h00...best time to swim.

Overall ,it was an awsome stay in this Hotel ,we enjoyed our trip .
And Neelam The Grand ,played an important role in this - : ) .
As we checked in ,we were alloted those rooms ,which we never thought or which was promised .
Then after complaining ,they tried to find some other room ,but in that AC was not working .
I called hotel.com ,
they explained to hotel.com that we have only this room available and this is the only one in our deal .
I talked to the Head or the person who was managing all in that Hotel about the rooms ,and i told him that i can pay extra but i will stay in those rooms ,then we saw different rooms ,we selected other room .But after the conversation he agreed to give that room without any extra charge , and after that it was a pleasure staying in that hotel . If i neglect the check-in experience ,i fopund this hotel as one of the best hotel in Goa ,specially about the location .

The hotel is newr to Colangut & Baga Beach. Very useful. Also, the market nearby has all convenience requirements. Taxis are easily available. The breakfast service is good. The pool facility is good, the room is spacious and nice. The balcony view is good.

This is definitely The Hotel for first timers as the location & property is excellent.It has also been maintained very well.Only drawback was the service as one has to remind twice to get any thing for any service.Also being a hotel of such repute they didn`t have English Dailies which is a must for every hotel.

Neelam's is a well established hotel in the heart of Calangute and is definitely worth the three-four star rating. I arrived at 8am after 24 hours of flights and they fixed up a room for me straight away (before normal check-in), as I was in dire need of rest. The photos on Expedia are accurate as to the style and condition of the rooms.
The pool and indoor areas of the hotel are in good condition, however, are probably not used as much as they could. There is a small disco on some nights and entertainment/music in the evening. There is a small bar on the first floor that serves basic food, water and beverages till the morning, which was great after coming home from a bar or club to pick up a bottle or two of water.
After some sleep, I tried out the ayurvedic massage to re-enliven my soul and relax into Goa. The massage was a good one with a focus on oil based healing, conducted by a trained specialist from Kerela. The food in the restaurant is varied and there are staples for continental preferences on the a-la-carte menu. Along with a choice of Indian breakfast options included in the package, you also get eggs, juice and tea. I didn't try out dinner but from a small sample of the food at Neelam's menu, it was well prepared. However, as it is a hotel, the rates can be more than found in local restaurants.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is well appointed, however, take your own sweat towel. The location is close to shops, beach and markets.

our first time in goa, and must say one of our best holidays ever, could not of picked a better hotel, staff were very polite, and the rooms were cleaned every day , breakfast was good and the service quick . they was some hotel work going on in one of the blocks and around the pool area but it did'nt stop us enjoying the pool area. it was in a good location and the people were fantastic, the food in the tree house reasurant just down the road was great and very cheap. will be back next year
