The room itself was good in that it had a nice size and a little kitchenette. However, there was an awful sewage smell that emitted from the sink in the kitchenette. Also, food smell would flood the room, but it made no sense because we were on floor 9. Also, the curtains didn't shut well so the room was flooded with light by 5am, making it impossible to sleep. The garage was so tight that a normal sedan could hardly maneuver- each time in and out was a trial by fire to see if we didn't crash into a post or another car. Had a single car been located in one of the spots, we would have been trapped forever. So be careful unless you have a smart car. The location was very nice, though.

Staff at check in was very nasty , the hotel is old and bad conditions very noise and the elevator makes noice all nite . You pay parking and there is no way to turn around underground garage only for 12 cars very narrow. I will not recommend this hotel for Expedia

Pros: The location for the property is great. The ocean is a very short walk away and you can see it from some of the rooms. The neighborhood the hotel is located in felt very safe and there are several restaurants nearby. The breakfast was included at my room rate and provided plenty of food. The staff printed my COVID test results for me before my departure. Cons: The hotel staff approached me at the front desk with a plastic bag of towels and requested that I pay for them because they had makeup on them. I have never had this happen at any hotel I've ever stayed in. I did wash my face with one of the towels and it did have makeup on it, but before trying to clean it, they asked me to pay for it and the other towels from my room. I did pay for them ($40USD) just to keep the peace since this was early on in my stay, but I washed them as soon as I got back home and the one with makeup on it came clean with no problem after 1 wash with no pre-treatment or anything special. They approached me in front of my business partner and other guests with this bag of towels. I would encourage the staff to try washing something first before you approach a guest and also to think about the way you approach the guest. This left a negative impression and I will chose another hotel during my next business trip. English proficiency was limited so something for foreign visitors to consider. Housekeeping very lightly cleans during your stay so don't expect a perfectly clean room.

Best location. Best neighborhood and just a walking distance from restaurants, punta carretas mall, buses, just a block from the beach.

Hotel was well located and the staff was amazing. Breakfast had plenty of options. The property is a little worn out and the rooms clearly need some updating.

I liked friendly helpful staff, on reception and elsewhere. The rooms are quite large with a small kitchen unit, great for making afternoon tea. Breakfast was plentiful, but no cooked options. There are a couple of tables on the patio garden, nice to sit here and eat breakfast. The room could do with a bit of updating, and the view at the rear is just the rear of other flats (floors 9 and below). There is only one lift which means a bit of a wait sometimes. Good value budget choice.

Great location, close to the waterfront. Hotel had bikes for rent. The room was pristine.

The breakfast selection was great and well displayed! The rooms were ok but very dated, customer service was excellent. Unfortunately you have to pay extra to use their garage USD 15 per day. I say the 3 star rating they have is an honest assessment, they should invest in new bed covers

The hotel is located in a good neighborhood with shops and restaurant nearby. The hotel staff is nice and helpful, and its amenities are in fairly good condition.

The hotel is in fact nice but I have a sad face because there is no free parking. Street parking, which is hard to find, and an underground parking garage which costs 15 dollars per night. Location nice, staff nice, hôtel well kept and an OK deal considering Montevideo prices. BUT my search criteria were free parking, and on this page they indicated self parking. When I informed them of the inaccuracy, they explained to me that the parking indeed cost money. Well they should stick by what they advertise regardless of where the error lies. Here's a bad review to bring down your ratings.

Basic hotel; if you need services or luxury go somewhere else. But is clean, friendly and in probably the best area of MVD. I stayed here because has a small kitchen and balcony and is good value for money.

An apartment is great when staying several days - small kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle, cutlery and crockery - extra room to move around and and for luggage. Basic furniture but all clean, bed comfortable. TV gave us CNN and the occasional movie in English. Small balcony with 2 chairs (1 is about to break through), but fine if you are a smoker. Breakfast was adequate - bread, rolls, croissants, cheese, ham, cornflakes, fresh fruit, jugs of yoghurt and fresh orange juice, coffee etc - but don’t expect eggs or hot food. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends

Right by the beach!

Spent three weeks in Montevideo, Uruguay enjoying the cows, grapes (steaks and wines) and beaches. A fun, safe environment with a California climate and many outdoor activities. You can run, bike, blade, skate board or just walk the Rambla (coastal road/sidewalk) with the locals.

In Montevideo for 2 short nights and hotel was perfectly adequate for short stay. In Los Pocitos area, some good restaurants and bars in the area, lovely beach, very quiet and pretty cold tho in May! Hotel is older and bit more dated on inside than it appears on outside. Room was more apartment orientated than a usual hotel with a small kitchenette, table and some chairs. Room had floor to ceiling patio doors leading to large balcony above front of hotel, no chairs or table on balcony tho but its not a place or view youd really miss it. Breakfast was pastries, ham, cheese the usual fare, couldnt fault it. The usual Front reception guy very helpful with perfect English. Would happily stay here again, fantastic hotel and location for price.

Hotel have spacious rooms, bathroom is too tiny and the water in the shower does not flow too strong. For the price and location is unbeatable.Hotel staff is super nice and breakfast is fine.Internet have a very good signal.

Though a bit away from the city centre, nothing is really far in Montevideo it is a small city (by car roughly 15min). The hotel is modern, breakfast adequate, the staff were welcoming and the wifi worked even on the top floor. The neighbourhood is more residential, but it is quiet and there are several restaurants within walking distance.For business it is a good location as you are midway between the world trade centre and the port/old central business district.

I have stayed at this hotel before in 2007-2008. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean. It would be a nice addition to have bottled waters in the rooms. The breakfast is great. I will stay here again.
