Hotel had the basics. It was a bit austere. Neighborhood seems to be slowly becoming gentrified. Some blocks were very nice. Some blocks were shaky. Waterfront a few blocks away was very nice. On the street curb parking.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. It was a short walk to shopping, restaurants, and waterfront. The hotel seemed brand new, the room was clean, and the bathroom nicely designed. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and took a hot coffee to go, which was great.

Very nice hotel. Quiet, clean rooms with comfortable beds. The room was small (normal by Norwegian standards). It was easy to get a roll away bed for our teenager who joined us at the last minute. Excellent breakfast buffet, as is typical in Norway. Tiny workout room in the basement.

The front desk is helpful and friendly. The rooms are modern and clean. The breakfast is top notch.

A hotel should have the basics right; e.g. a good quality bed including mattress, duvet and pillows. This hotel provides neither. The mattress was squeaky and uncomfortable, the pillows had clearly been washed in a washing machine as the content of the pillows was all lumpy. When I asked for a new, non lumpy, pillow the receptionist was most put out. The duvet was a thin, hard and small affair that gave neither warmth nor comfort. Room is basic and all furniture and fittings are cheap. The mere fact the hotel washes the pillows instead of purchasing new ones at regular intervals is a testament to its complete disregard for paying guests comfort. I am sure if pressed the hotel would quote climate change sentiments but that would be a guise to hide penny pinching. The room itself is of course devoid of any and all comfort, up to an including no in-room fridge. In short, this is a hostel not a hotel - however it has the audacity to charge 5 star hotel prices!

Perfect location. Beautiful studio apartment. Minutes from the Royal Palace. A mile from the Vigeland park. A mile from the Arkhus fortress. And less than a mile from the downtown harbor!

clean, comfortable room. breakfast nothing spectacular but definitely acceptable. neighborhood not the best, but Bergen is so small could easily walk to more scenic areas. I would certainly stay there again

Modern, smart hotel that is well kept and ideally located for the town. Staff were super efficient at check in and check out.

Stayed here for 4 nights, first and foremost, the customer service was outstanding, all the staff I encountered where amazing, they couldn't do enough for me and nothing was a bother :) I'm delighted I stayed here. The room was lovely, modern and clean, the bathroom was epic with a ginormous walk in shower. The all u can eat buffet breakfast is a great touch, with amazing choice of continental or full cooked breakfast items and the usual cereals and breads etc etc. I also used the gym and business centre services and while it's small it's more than adequate. Overall a very definate favourite hotel choice. I would also like to say thanks to the day and night time reception people, especially the night guy, he was very accomadating, approachable and a really nice interesting guy to talk to. Again thanks very much scantic Haugesund :)

Looks very acceptable. Certainly there are 'cultural differences' at bedtime, with bed linens turned down in such a way that guests have to, in practice make their own bed. Shower units are different, and take a little getting used to. Breakfast servers, (equipment) are a challenge when serving yourself breakfast, and by virtue of this may not be considered sanitary. The hotel had charged my credit card for the stay, due to 'new receptionist', even though the room had been prepaid. (This was refunded after about three days and my complaint) Obviously when comparing with US hotels of identical rating, this hotel lacked the standards normally found in the US. (This is possibly a poor comparison as US hotels at this level are usually of a higher standard) Overall, my stay was acceptable. Cultural differences and VERY high costs where a shock. I would recommend the hotel, but only because the cultural and economic differences are common to the country, and I cannot compare it to other hotel units in Norway.

The hotel was so clean and comfortable. Staff was so accomodating and helpful with my request for ice and other items. We were treated very kindly when I was caring for my grandson who were staying locally with family. Just wish the weather had been better during our stay.
