Excellent stay

Decent hotel with a good location. My feeling is that this hotel used to be really nice several years ago but could use some updates throughout the property. Also direct access to beach would be nice improvement.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I do not believe that I will stay at any other hotel in Khobar. Sofitel Khobar is truly great and the staff was nothing but excellent. The area is very quiet despite being near a few busy neighborhoods!

Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.

The staff were very kind and friendly. The amenities were clean and nice. The room was much better than priced; very spacious, comfortable and clean. Parking was free, but not many parking spaces were free. Absolutely excellent hotel.

I don’t recommend this hotel , they took the price for one night twice …. I came at 1:00 pm and the room was not ready and they ask me to wait for 15 min. It was first and last time for this hotel

Staff lazzy.. Tells you okaboom every 1 hour to 30 minutes.. So no sleep well. Security two check points. Check out 30 minutes or more. I don't recommend it.. Only location is good

Everything is ok except security check point for the hotel! They every time check my car never mind you are visitor or one of the hotel guests they check everything under car and the trunk and the same if you back 5 times within one hour. This is not professional. And when you get in they check tawaklna app again in front door! Im sick of this. The beach view not worth the price I paid. After all I have to pay 200 SAR for just stay inside the shisha cafe!

Check in was not available until after 6:00 pm despite sitting in front of the reception for 1 hour with 2 fussy kids. Will not come back !

The hotel was good. The service was greate, the staff were perfect. It is two minutes drive to Alkhobar seafront. The downside is the pool does not look the same. I disappointed when I saw it, I looked indoor.

The check in and supposed to be at 3 PM I waited until 6 PM to get my room, the receptionist told me that the room was not ready.

I booked a room for one but they wouldn’t give me an extra card for the room because the magnet doesn’t work after sometime so having a spare one helps but they didn’t give it to me because I booked a room for one.. I didn’t like that at all.

We booked a 2 night family staycation, coming from Riyadh by road. + Location is excellent. Sea view was a sight for sore eyes. + Wonderful sunrise view directly from my room. Could also see the Causeway in the distance. + Clean + Some staff are professional and courteous + I was allowed to checokut late at my request, as I was delayed. - Some staff are careless and unprofessional. The receptionist was talking on her phone while I was waiting right in front of her at the counter. Unbelievable. - The Club Lounge staff were clearly a stand-in, and is not trained to deal with guests. He insisted that I was not eligible for lounge access despite me having this clearly stated in my booking. - Breakfast is basic. Expected much better from a 5-star hotel. - Room was NOT soundproof despite the claim. - Neighbours were smoking on a non-smoking floor. Fire Alarm should have gone off. - No stationery in the room. No in-room dining menu. - Air Conditioning in our room was noisy and disturbing. - Room service did not make up my room despite leaving a sign at the door, and also calling front desk for this before we left for a few hours. We got back and had to call again for them to clean the room while we were waiting outside. Unlikely we will stay here again.

The main issue here was that check in is 3pm. We arrived at around 5:15pm and our room was not yet ready - we were told that this was because they were very busy the day before and to please wait 40 min. We had just driven 5 hours and I am 8 months pregnant. We were given no refreshments. We asked again at 6pm and spoke with the manager. We finally got into our room at 6:45pm and were given a fruit basket an hour later (3 whole apples on a plate) and some small cakes. Not what we expect from this hotel chain. Don't accept a booking if you don't have rooms ready.
