We were happy with the motel in general. It had easy parking, a good location, and was very clean. Not complaining, but it had the strangest furniture laid out in the most unusable way possible. Who decorates in French Provincial on the rustic California coast? It looked like someone hit up Liberace’s estate sale. The furniture was laid out as impracticality as possible. For example the chairs faced away from the ocean view and at a right angle to the table, making it unusable to eat on. There was a small golden day bed that faced a stairway. No one would actually sit there. Strange but overall the motel was a good deal with a great view. Get an upstairs room or everyone on the walking path along the coast can see into your room.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only reason we gave it 4 instead of 5 is because the towels were very dingy looking they were clean, but they could be bleached. And the coffee Maker stopped working when we tried to make coffee before we left.

One of the best places to stay in Fort Bragg. Friendly and helpful staff, the best views and easy walking from the hotel to the beach. Leave your balcony door open at night and let the ocean waves lull you to sleep. Highly recommend this place.

Awesome location, had a king room upstairs with balcony that overlooks the ocean and cliffs.
Staff extremely friendley and left flowers on our doorstep the morning after arrival!. We have stayed here several times thru out the years.

It was average. The room had a strange lay out with steps in the middle so you had to be careful especially at night. Beds are really hard. Furniture is funky. No housekeeping services during stay. I liked the patio with the ocean view but there is a walking path right next to it so people are right there with you as well as close patios on either side. Fridge and microwave were nice to have.

The room decor is so cute! It’s spacious and the view is amazing! Bathroom could use an upgrade. Tv was a pretty good size. Balcony was prefect. Enough parking.

Stayed there for a wedding. Room is spacious but definitely worn. Nice balcony. The weather was warm and humid and there was no fan or ac or windows that open, so it was quite uncomfortable in the room. We left the balcony door open the entire time we were in the room. Ok for a quick stay, priced high for what you get.

This hotel had a lovely ocean view with easy access to the beach and was spacious and clean. I would stay again although I would request a room with a bed that is not round. The staff were polite and helpful and the room was clean and quiet -- a big plus!

We've stayed at the Ocean View Lodge at least 5 times and always had a great experience. The only negative review I have is regarding the ungraded furniture in the rooms, it's very large and gaudy.

The property is a little dated, but it’s clean and well maintained. We had a wonderful time in Fort Bragg and the accommodations were spot on.

Property located right on the cliff, beautiful view, walking distance to the beach. Nice area, clean rooms. No housekeeping but lots of amenities. The only thing I would add is ceiling or portable fans.

Ocean View has been my husband's and I's favorite place to stay in Fort Bragg for years.

What was once a beautiful room is now a room full of the most GOD AWFUL furniture I've ever seen. Does not at all fit a Ocean View vibe.
Money spent on that could have well been used to redo the bathroom.
Sink is cracked and stained toilet is very low and old. And i swear they must have gotten that shower head at the 5 and dime.
I give 4 stars to housekeeping and the view is stunning.

Rooms a little outdated, beds not too comfy but the room was so spacious! The wall between beds made it feel like there was some privacy between each “room” & The view was amazing!!! Short walk to the beach and the beach was phenomenal!
