I chose this place due to the amazing location. Unfortunately, service and cleanliness were subpar. My allergies were killing me, and then I found out why: there were cats sleeping on the “clean” bedding and towels. One of the cats was roaming on the breakfast area and even on the table. room service didn’t refill supplies, barely tidied up the beds. Won’t go back.

I would never stay at this hotel again. When we checked in the adjoining room door was unlocked to the next room. I locked it back. In the middle of the night some stranger came bursting through the door (luckily my suitcase was up against the door). We stayed 2 nights. On the 2nd day we never got housekeeping services. Finally around 3pm I asked the front desk person if we could get our room cleaned. He assured me it would be cleaned. A couple of hours later we were in the breakfast room playing cards and the front desk person told me that the housekeeper had become ill and had to leave - thus our room would not be cleaned - but he did offer to give us clean towels. The thing that amazed me the most is that the entire time we were in the breakfast room playing cards the front desk person sat there and ate while watching soccer! He is allergic or above cleaning a room?? The beds in this hotel make dorm room beds look like a double king sized bed. The phone rang nonstop for no reason - when we tried to answer it, there was just a dead phone line. We borrowed a wine opener from the front desk (after the front desk person said, "What? You don't have one?" Imagine the shock when the same front desk person knocked on my door at 9:30pm (!) to get the wine opener back! I guess they only have 1 at hotel? The breakfast was terrible - a million people in a tiny cramped room (even though they ask that you confirm a time to dine) - the food was terrible and it was filthy.

This is out go-to hotel in Montevideo, especially before and after a journey abroad. Excellent staff, great breakfast, always attentive to your needs.

The staff over delivery on all expectations, they even made sure our laundry was done on the same day, in a very busy and difficult holiday time

Overall good service and stay, however the mattress was old and not firm. We informed the hotel upon our check out.

Great locale fur the price! Nice size room with small kitchenette (micro, fridge and sink). .7 mile to downtown Catrasco... on the Rambla. Small garage so my car stayed outside but was inside the gate for security. Great Breakfast.. the breads were amazing!

Good hotel but the location is a problem if you have a car since the access to the parking lot is off a very busy street making the turn unsafe and dangerous. Other than that is a goog hotel

Breakfast was great. Room was clean. In a residential neighborhood, so not a lot of stores and restaurants near by.

Convenient location between airport and old town montevideo. Lovely location along water, with beautiful drive along the Rambla to city center. New and clean rooms. Friendly front desk staff. Parking in basement garage a bit tight but free and fine for the usual compact rental car.

This hotel has wonderful staff who are friendly and who were very helpful when we needed advice for transportation as well as suggestions for what to do around town. The hotel is right across the street from the beaches and the Rambla and has a very convenient bus (in the front) that takes you the the interior of Montevideo at a very reasonable price. So staying here gives you the outside-the-city, near-the-beaches experience and still be minutes from the heart of the city where there is lots to do and see.The buffet breakfast is loaded with yummy fruits,breads and cheeses - a European/Uruguayan meld of deliciousness. The coffee was great and always there was warm milk to add which is my new favorite.They have complimentary bikes available although they are not that well maintained. The first day we borrowed them we had no problems but the second time, I made 4 attempts to ride out only to have the chains fall off every time. So we went to the beach instead with complimentary chairs, towels and umbrellas. Also check your chair before you go because they as well suffer from wear and tear, I got to the beach with mine only to have the back not lock into the upright position. So that was annoying. But Montevideo and the surrounds are incredible. It is safe, the people are genuinely warm and friendly and anywhere you stay in Uruguay is worth it.

Opposite beach which is good but if you prefer the pool very small as is the seating area.Our room was ver comfortable with a nice terrace we were there for only one night but for us or anyone staying longer two loungers on the terrace and two comfortable chairs in the room would have been nice.Bath too small impossible to use it would be better to just have a good walking shower.
