Bohol Sea resort overall is a great place. Pool very well maintained and clean. The on-site dive shop people were super friendly and informative. Food at the restaurant was good although a pretty limited menu.
The only thing I found disappointing was the beach. It's just a few steps from the pool, restaurant and cottages but at even high tide, the water is shallow for 100-200 meters before reaching deep enough to snorkel.
Proximity to Alona beach is a 100 peso trike ride. (5-10 minutes).
Overall a great place. I recommend

Nice place, a little worn and older. Staff is great and accommodating 👍. Pros: Big rooms, big bed, big refrigerator, shower is separate from toilet👍, big balcony/patio, strong aircon, tv and several channels, good storage, nice pool, large restaurant. Cons: far from restaurants and Alona Beach, beach is a boat parking lot, food is not great unless you ask for things you want and modify the menu (which staff is happy to help and comply)(we bought rotisserie chicken and limo from Paengs across the street and had the hotel make steamed mixed veggies, so it was a good experience 👍. Would recommend for people who don’t want to be on Alona Beach and don’t mind walking or tuktuk back and forth. The town near the hotel has lots of convenience stores and local food options.

For the price this resort is everything you would need to have a relaxed experience. The staff was very kind and extremely helpful. It had a feeling of coming home every time I came back from going out. The swimming pool is very enjoyable. Over-all, Bohol Sea Resort was a very positive and memorable experience. I would definitely come back.

This is solid 2.5 rating hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable.. WiFi is slow inside the room. Nice pool and restaurant although the food could be better... water pressure in shower is weak .. rooms have a fridge and safe.. market is across the road .. 5 minute trike ride to Alona beach or you can walk... about 1.5km... trike only costs 100 pesos .. I like this place, good value for the money .

Lovely and very colorful hotel.
The room was clean and very comfortable - as it's all in bungalows, you feel a lot of freedom, if you don't feel too sociable.
They have a nice pool (though we didn't use it), and whilst it is set on the beachfront, it's not the nicest one, and whilst we were there you couldn't walk or swim there. If you're after pristine beach, you do need to go to Alona.
It's not too far from the main stretch of the beach and town, though not quite walkable (we had a bike)
If you don't mind the extra drive, and want nice, comfortable and peaceful hotel, this is certainly a great choice

The resort is in an area away from the main city center which is nice if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Everyone is very kind and accommodating. However there are not really any other restaurants close unless you drive somewhere.

Good choice of hotel with a pool. Service is good and staff helpful. The beach in front isn’t nice at all as it’s occupied with fishing boats and also quiet shallow. The hotel is abit further way from the main beach for the ones who like it quieter.

Convenient to all places, clean and comfortable. Food was great especially breakfast. Few steps away to the water. In the morning, we bought fish from the fishermen and we asked the hotel kitchen to cook the fish for us, and it was delicious

Bungalow style of a hotel. The room is simple but is clean and cozy. The swimming pool is decent enough; the lounges are my favorite part. The restaurant serves very good food. Best of all, the beach is just at the back of the hotel. Nothing to complain, really!

It was very clean. Rooms were well air conditioned. Staff were very helpful and attentive. It was quite a bit out from Alona itself a 100P tricycle ride each way. Couldn’t do much swimming in the sea due to the numerous boats docked. But lovely food, facilities and staff! Enjoyable stay!

The beachfront was such a letdown. Its not good enough (or clean enough) for a swim. Not a lot of food choices in their restaurant and the quality of the food is meh. Their personnel were great though.

Lovely bungalows right by a small beach. You have to go quite far out if you want to swim though. There is a dive centre here with very helpful and welcoming staff. The staff in the resort are all very friendly. It's a 1km walk to the main street where all the restaurants are or a 100 peso (£1.20) ride in a tricycle. So it takes a few minutes to get to Alona resort where all the bars and nightclubs are but it's extremely quiet in the Bohol Sea Resort itself.
Would highly recommend if you want some chill time but then have the option to go out for food and drinks.

The resort was very cute with a lovely pool on site. The hotel restaurant was ok food and similar price to the other places. There is nothing super close by so during our 2 day 2 night stay we felt a bit stuck. It’s about a 15 minute walk to Alona Beach area which isn’t too bad but at night gets very dark to be walking. I would recommend getting driven back to the resort in the dark. The resort also has happy hour and was very helpful in booking information for us. The AC and bed were reasonable and the room had a nice little patio out front as well. I would stay again.
