The most wonderful stay, Hotel is immaculate, the breakfast was exceptional. But the Service Karen and Richard offer is the best I have ever experienced. They actually make you feel like family. I would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.

We were warmly greeted by Karen who was very friendly and welcoming. We received a kind upgrade and had a spacious, spotlessly clean room with a view to the sea. There was fabulous coffee in the room and complimentary chilled water.
We received a parking permit which we could use in the designated zone though local car parks were reasonably priced and free overnight.
We enjoyed a great choice of fresh fruits and yogurt whilst our hot breakfasts were freshly cooked to order. Great quality bacon and plenty of it.
We were spoilt by the attention to detail and kind thoughts. We had wine glasses provided to our room without requesting them when it was clear we’d brought a bottle with us which has never happened in any other hotel we’ve visited.
Weymouth was a lovely traditional seaside resort with plenty to do and we also took the chance to visit Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove nearby.
We had a great couple of nights and would not hesitate to recommend The Clarence. True hospitality and exceptional hosts.

We had the most amazing stay at the Clarence for 4 nights. Karen and Richard were exceptional hosts with hospitality second to no-one. The cooked to order breakfasts were outstanding and the accomodation was immaculate with attention to detail at every corner. We would highly recommend The Clarence.

Family atmosphere, wonderful hosts, room clean and very well equipped, breakfast cooked to perfection. Stayed in a lot of hotels and this one is up there with the best. Could not have been made to feel more welcome. Karen and Richard are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Quality and attention to detail on every aspect of the stay. Thank you so much for making our trip to Weymouth so special.

Located in an excellent position close to harbour, beach, pubs and restaurants. A beautifully clean B&B with excellent facilities. The breakfast choices and quality were excellent. The proprietors, Karen and Richard, could not have done enough for us. They were excellent hosts. I would thoroughly recommend The Clarence for a pleasant stay in Weymouth.

Room was very clean and tidy. More than enough space for the two of us. Tea and coffee making machine in the room, as well as a mini fridge, which was unexpected, but very welcome. A variety of breakfast items are available as well as an option for full english. Hosts Richard and Karen were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again, and would thouroughly recommend staying at The Clarence.

I was fortunate enough to spend three days at The Clarence recently. It was a perfect location for what I needed close to pretty much everything. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and welcoming Karen and Richard made me welcome and were very accommodating. All in all a great few days. I will certainly return in the future. Karen and Richard were excellent hosts! Producing an amazing breakfast and absolutely spotlessly clean accommodation. Room came with a very good fan which was needed given the warm temps and Molton Brown soap and shower gel.
Very quiet location but close to the beach and amusements.
Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

The room was beautiful and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and beautiful to look at. A proper English breakfast!! The hosts are warm and welcoming. The location was in walking distance of both lovely sit down restaurants as well as English and beach town type street food. It was a wonderful experience staying here.

We had a great stay in Weymouth. The hotel was lovely with Richard and Karen being super hosts. The room was very comfortable with everything you needed for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice. From a full english to cold meats and cheese.I would definitely recommend a stay here and am looking forward to a return trip.

Very clean…delicious breakfast’s, and the staff and owners are incredibly professional, and fun. Lots of good laughs. Best overall stay I’ve had in England. Can’t way to visit again.

Another very enjoyable stay at the Clarence. I wouldn't use any other B&B/hotel in Weymouth if I can help it, even going so far as to change my visit dates to get in here! The proprietors, Karen and Richard, offer the perfect mix of friendly service and discreet non-interference, all underpinned by excellent standards. The quality in the little things - e.g. toiletries in the rooms and preserves on the breakfast table - add to the joy of each stay, plus the location is unbeatable. Hence, great value for money. My review might sound wildly over the top, but it is hard not to be enthusiastic about this place once you've stayed, as you will hopefully discover for yourself.

Karen, the host (i.e. receptionsist/housekeeper/concierge), was friendly and kind, making herself always available to get things done efficiently and effectively without being obtrusive. The hotel is well-located for the beach and Weymouth town centre. My room provided all the basic facilities to a good standard and was more spacious than the Expedia photo had led me to believe. Altogether, my booking proved to be excellent value-for-money and I would certainly stay at The Clarence again.
