The staff were amazing, the villa is beautiful and completely unique.

Amazing hotel. Only 12 rooms. Perfect for couples looking for a quiet hotel with an amazing view. Guests can use the full amenities of the Hotel Excelsior and Grand Villa Argentina. We got much use out of the Grand Villa Argentina pool. And the bar at the Hotel Excelsior was very modern and fun with a great view. For us, the best part was the breakfast. breakfast was included in our room and instead of a traditional buffet it was ala cart with a full extensive menu. And since there were only 12 rooms, we basically had the outdoor patio to ourselves overlooking the old city. The views were spectacular. The room was very nice but could use a carpet upgrade. When you stay here, you feel you are in a private villa with full service amenities. We would definitely stay here again.

Very good quiet hotel. Lovely staff and beautiful view. Delicious breakfast. A short walk from the walled city so it was quieter but still very close.

First class in all respects. Renovated mansion with about 12 rooms, overlooking the sea, with access to the sea. The staff was welcoming and accommodating.. Breakfast overlooking the water was beautiful. Short walk to old city. We loved everything about the hotel.

This is a small, personal boutique hotel within easy reach of the walled city of Dubrovnik. From the moment we arrived the lovely concierge made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us - & this was typical of the whole staff.
The hotel is quiet & small with a feeling of tranquility. We were lucky enough to have a room upgrade & were delighted with the facilities & fantastic views over the city. The food in the restaurant was superb & a pleasant change to the usual fare throughout the country.
There is only one issue, which is why we have marked the overall rating down. The hotel management insist on taking bookings for weddings in the gardens and bookings in the restaurant for large groups, which are not for guests staying in the hotel. This meant the peace of the gardens was shattered on 2 of our afternoons by large wedding parties, which forced us to retire to our room & we could not eat in the restaurant for 2 evenings as there were large groups which would have spoilt the lovely peaceful setting. The hotel manager was very apologetic & understanding & dealt with us appropriately and assured us that this issue is being dealt with for the future. This is a very, very expensive hotel by Croatian standards & would justify the price if it ticked all the boxes, but before booking I would check with the hotel that there are no weddings in the garden or large groups booked into the restaurant.

The service by staff was outstanding, great location, clean room, and beautiful view.

The location is amazing - it can't be beaten in Dubrovnik. The breakfast was also superb. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. However, for what you get in terms of the room itself and the facilities at the hotel, the price is steep: (i) the rooms are very good, but not outstanding; (ii) there was no double bed - two single beds had been pushed together; (iii) the guests share the facilities with the neighbouring Hotel Argentina, which meant that we had to compete with those guests for spots on the beach.

We stayed at Villa Orsula for 3 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the hotel. We were treated like VIPs. Our room was immaculately clean. The hotel & restaurant staff were also magnificent. Breakfast on the terrace was super with excellent views. The Restaurant Victoria was a great experience on the terrace too with beautiful sunset views. Food was fine dining & super! Overall we both had a special & memorable few days to celebrate our important milestone thanks to Villa Orsula.

Our honeymoon hotel did not disappoint. Staff managed the perfect compromise between attentiveness and leaving us alone!
The best table in the restaurant for breakfast each morning. Food fantastic in the Victoria restaurant on our final evening. Enjoyed the champagne on the terrace too!
Fantastic location. We had a sea-view room with balcony. The view of the old town and Lokrum was awesome.
