Very friendly welcome and friendly people in the bar. Staff very cheerful and helpful. Very comfortable bed and pleasant room which was the dog friendly one. Maybe a bit noisy before the bar underneath closed but that didn’t bother us at all. Finally, good strong loo paper!

Lovely place to stay in centre of Bedale. Excellent food, fantastic friendly service and cracking pint of Guinness

Parking can be tricky if you’re unfamiliar with the disc system. Get a disc free from the coffee shop next door. For overnight you need to park in the area by the tourist information office, just up the street a block. Tickets are very pricey so don’t take a chance.

It was an excellent stay Christine and John were very welcoming and very friendly service was excellent would recommend it to everyone we just loved it and so did our dog Buddy they loved him too xx

We were in Bedale for a family party and were very comfortable at the Green Dragon: friendly welcome, clean and contemporary room, comfortable bed, decent shower. Couldn’t ask for more.

Great food and comfortable room. A parking disk is a useful item. Available free from local shops. On Sunday evening the only restaurants in bedale are Indian restaurants by the main crossroads.

Had a lovely stay here. Room was smart, very clean and although it was above a pub was really quiet. The food was exceptional, great twist on the parmo dish and amazing home made chips, and such great value!

cheap basic hotel, clean, top floor reasonably quiet even with live music in the bar Friday night, good brekky last you through the day

over night stay with my 6 year old grandson on the way to a family event, Staff were lovely, chatted with my grandson and made us feel very welcome. Room had plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate with proper milk in a fridge plus 2 bottles of orange juice, 2 chocolate muffins and 6 little boxes of cereal. We were even allowed to buy fish and chips across the road and eat them in the pub. A lovely park down the road as well.

Lovely stay. Great budget accommodation. Staff very friendly. Good base for exploring the area. Couldnt ask for more :)

Mike the Landlord, brilliant bloke, would do anything at all to make your stay as pleasant as possible. You dont ask him, he asks you.

We travel a lot and this one stood out for the first class welcome and service, great breakfast. Be aware that Friday is live music day, we enjoyed it.but may not be to everyone Taste. Look forward to revisiting.

Live music until midnight on Fri. We didnt know until we arrived. Very talented musicians but music was shaking the bedroom... Not good when you have to work the following morning.

The room was clean and tidy with bedding and towels exceptionally clean. It was unfortunate that my car broke down on the first night. The next morning the Landlord was very helpful and understanding and offered help if it was required. Will return at some point in the future.

Let me start with positives Bedale is a lovely market town well worth a visit and the green dragon is right in the centre of the town.Arrived Friday evening and the bar was already busy got the attention of bartender who was only member of staff on duty, I assumed he was owner, when he got a chance he showed me to room first thing he said was live music tonight so would be noisy, but would be finished by midnight, great so no chance for early night, bed was very uncomfortable needs to be replaced very soft mattress very poor support from bed frame, room decor dated and in poor condition room furniture the same,Music finished at midnight it was very loud and no doubt great for pub business but not what I wanted, fire alarm woke me at 05.30 false alarm no doubt some early morning toast being burnt, decided to leave early unable to find anyone on duty so posted room key through letter box.Wont return to that hotel will teach me for choosing cheapest deal, you pay for what you get. Lol.
