Second time stayed here, clean, friendly and a great location

Clean and comfy, convenient for the town centre.

One night stay to attend an event at Scarborough Spa. Location slightly run down was a little apprehensive at first but nothing to worry about in the end. Everyone soooo friendly.. Five min walk from railway station. very handy for town and Wetherspoons and shopping centre. Rooms 14 and 16 were so clean and fresh. Towels bedding all smelled lovely. Tea coffee biscuits water. All supplied. Stuart the owner very friendly helpful guy. We checked in at 12 (ideal) and there was no rush to check out next day at 10. Booked two rooms for one person each. . There was infact room for 3 people in each room. Paid £67 so bargain really. Stuart let us leave all our baggage in the room all day whilst we went off doing the sight seeing. Collected bags at 6pm. No problem Would deffo stay again.

Convenient stay over for a concert

Good value. Very friendly owner. When booked it was a lot cheaper than other places, so we didn't expect much. However, it was clean, comfortable and actually quite well equipped, we even had a mini fridge, not sure if that was standard but it was much appreciated.

Comfortable and clean property, great location for what we needed, welcoming and helpful staff, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again, thankyou.

Booked two rooms but had to share due to a leak in other room still waiting for some sort of refund

Stuart on the front desk super friendly offering directions and a contact in case yoi got lost/stuck. great for 2 ladies on a night to go to a concert. basic amenities however was super clean if a bit dated

The beds were very comfortable and the room was pleasant and clean although a little cramped with furniture. There was everything needed and to a decent standard for the price paid.

What a very nice short stay over, Greeted by Stuart who was a very friendly chap, showed us to and around our room, which was very clean and comfortable, cosy little seating area outside.Few minutes from train station and city centre.Stuart available at any timeĺ should we of required any help. Very comfortable stay...thankyou.

Clean room. Comfy bed. Seagulls woke us up about 4.30am. Nothing proprietor can do about that so pack some earplugs :)

Excellent location, being 5 minutes walk from the train station, and maybe 10 minutes to the coast. Parking looks like it could be an issue though. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were great. Plenty of storage and wardrobe should you need them. I'd have slept better if the room actually had curtains though and the bed wasn't facing the window. The shower was great and the little touches like the hot drinks, towels, shower gel, and TV was appreciated. The check in and check out process could have been more clear though.

Stayed here for Fortress festival between Friday 31st May to 2nd June, solo traveller and a mate had another room here. Pros - the place whilst dated, is very clean -Lots of towels, plenty of soap and a small shower gel provided. -Free bottle of water & Tea/coffee/milk & Viennese whirl biscuit -Sweetie jar is a nice touch -Comfy bed -Nice and quiet - didn’t hear a thing all weekend. Cons -No hot water from the taps -Hotel owner unlocked the door and let herself in the room when I was asleep, then apologised and left -Front door was locked at night with a sign saying use other door, but I wasn’t given a key for the other door so couldn’t get in -Shower goes scalding hot then freezing cold -Shower rail is not secure so the shower head keeps falling down - every time I saw the guy who checked me into the room, he was sat outside drinking cans of beer and smoking. He also neglected to tell my mate what to do with her parking sign for her car, and she was fined twice over night. That was very poor. I’ve rated as 4 stars because I paid less than £200 for 3 nights over 1 of potentially Scarborough’s busiest weekends of the year. The problems were minor, although being locked out was very annoying. All in all I was pleased with the place, which is a 2 minute walk from the centre of town. Would I go back? Probably not, I’d be happier to pay a few extra quid and get something a bit more professional.

Was a nice welcome from Stuart.. Not the most modern hotel.. But we have a great stay.. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet.. Would stay there again.. 👍

Stuart was a great host. Room was spacious with a nice big window and high ceilings. Comfortable beds and clean. Location wise was perfect. Only a 2 minute walk to the local shops. We would stay here again

Excellent value forca bank holiday weekend stay and very central. 2 good nights sleep in a comfortable room.

Had a lovely large room, my stay was perfect. Traveling solo, this was the largest room I ever had by myself. Walking distance to train station, close to everything I needed. Had 2 good sleeps, fairly quiet area at night (even though not far from pubs etc. if that is desired), would definitely stay again.

One night, 2 rooms. Helpful having one on ground floor. Manager very helpful. Hotel needs some modernisation as dated and smell of dogs put me off. Its a shame as could be much better. Also get rid of 4 poster and net trimmingss, toilet mats must go.

Very friendly proprieter made me welcome, very clean property. Amenities very close by not far from the sea front,definitely recommend staying here again.

Awful- had to check out as Police and Council was found at the hotel; something obviously happened; HOTEL was adamant that .. nothing happened. Stay away.

A lovely place to stay, would recommend it to anyone Looking for somewhere to stay on holiday, Great staff , everything is close to the hotel and staff went above and beyond to welcome guests.

A warm welcome from the host, brought us free bottles of water which was a god send throughout the night! Really comfortable beds. Short walk to the centre, north & south harbour & close to the Open Air Theatre
