Location was the best hotel on Jalan Pantai.
Kuta Beach across the road, Beachwalk Mall three minutes walk next door, hub of restaurants and so quiet from the buzz of traffic.
Staff service standards friendly and helpful.
Buffet breakfast clean food standards and good quality of choices.
The ambience of the grounds of gardens so beautiful and tranquil.
I loved the resort very much , my only criitique they need to invest in new towels /bathroom linen are shabby /grey.
I will return to this hotel and the pool is huge .

My husband and I just stayed here for 10 nights. The property it’s well maintained and cleaned daily. Aircon is A ( we had to turn it off we got cold 😂) Our room was lovely although they are currently doing renovations and it can get a little noisy (can’t really complain it’s for the better) breakfast buffet was good. Staff are all lovely. Pool was clean, Over all we had a great experience staying here.

All the staff are happy, helpful and attentive. Grounds of hotel are beautiful and maintained to perfection.
Has the traditional Balinese feel which is getting hard to find these days.
Beach immediately across road and Beachwalk Shopping Centre next door.
Pool is lovely and clean with a swim up bar.
Hotel organised our airport transfers both ways and they were well priced.
Our room was spacious with plenty of storage.
We upgraded to a Superior Deluxe room on the ground floor with a king bed. The mattresses need replacing as they were sagged so we had two dips in the bed.
The balconies are perfect size for two however outdoor furniture would be better to have two separate chairs and a small table to sit coffee/drinks on. Wooden bench seat was uncomfortable .
Decided to celebrate husbands birthday with four friends at restaurant with the IDR195k buffet. Staff were fabulous and band was great however food was not good at all so we were all disappointed.
All in all Grand Istana Rama is a fantastic hotel and we will definitely return for another stay.

Rooms are looking a little tired - place was under renovations with builders and sub contractors working late at night and if you didn't complain then they just kept on working.
Around the pool area was very slippery and whilst we were there saw 3 people have nasty slips/falls.
Staff were always very polite and nice.

The gardens and facilities were lovely. I highly recommend a garden courtyard room. Only qualm is that everything extra was at a cost, to bring a drink to the pool was a charge, and swim up bar was not a bar.

Directly across the road from Kuta Beach and a few minutes walk to Beachwalk shopping centre or Poppies II Lane for shopping. Nice big pool with a swim up bar too!

The hotel was ok the room was ok but could of been cleaned better in the bathroom the shower was blocked and flooded the floor we told the hotel but wasn’t fixed before we left it wasn’t a hotel I would go back to . The food wasn’t all that great on the all can eat bbq .

We really enjoyed our stay! The bed was comfortable, the breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. Having parking for our hire car was a fantastic bonus as parking in Bali is tricky.

Fabulous location with only 5 minutes walk from my room to the beach. Excellent swimming pool and vibrant garden. Helpful staff.

It was nice but I'll try somewhere else next time. Safe broke twice, kettle didn't work and reading light didn't work. They did fix all these in a timely manner however is annoying to waste time when you only there for 5 days.
Woke up every morning at 6 from sweeping outside but not too bad as I didn't plan a sleep in. The thing that was the most frustrating was they had someone book it the pool area from lunchtime for the rest of the day. Wasn't told this until we find a note on the bed telling us the next day the pool is unavailable. Our holiday plans were shipping and relaxing by the pool. We did the shopping first and planned to spend the last two days by the pool so to then find out it was shut was very annoying

While the room was always clean, there was a strong smell that was not good. We came the conclusion it was from the products that they used to clean. Our major issue however was the one key to each room policy. Not convenient at all.

Staff attitudes not great and very old property the bathrooms are terrible and lack of amenities. Towels , bed sheets are dirty. Nothing more to say

Absolutely loved my stay for 7 nights in this hotel.
It had everything u need for a perfect holiday. Such a friendly and helpful staff, amazing bar and restaurant with live music band. Such a relaxing vibe within the resort and everything within few min walk

Few upgrades required.. better showergel, soap...
No shaving options for men.

Late check in - service was exactly what I needed. There are only stairs so for the first visit the considerate assistance to my room was appreciated. A short walk to everything and nice to watch the waves over breakfast. Will come back again
