We had a wonderful stay at an amazing place right at the river. Can't be better. We had breakfast every morning right at the river. And a vine on our terrace every evening, also with river view. Mars, the owner took great of us. She responded always and right away. First-Class host!!! The place is just 15min from the Parc entrance. What else do you need 👍👍👍

This small hotel is ALL about location! To anyone who thinks it is too expensive you are paying for the absolutely beautiful grounds, privacy and access to the river for swimming, fishing or just relaxing. We rented room 2 that was facing the river. It was very cozy with a comfortable queen mattress, a day bed, a little refrigerator and a microwave. It was all that we needed since we spent most of our time outside. There were several restaurants about a 5 minute drive away. The hotel is on the main hwy to the sequoias but felt like we had driven into the backroads. We will visit again just to be here and enjoy sitting by the river all day. I would not stay here with small children but older kids will enjoy exploring the grounds. We met only the housekeeper (I think) and she was very polite. It was lovely listening to the river and watching the stars at night. We were the only guests there which made it the best vacation ever!

The rio Sierra river house hosts the best spot on the river to swim or just enjoy a tranquil morning sipping your coffee or tea. I highly recommend this spot to everyone for any reason, you will not be disappointed. Conveniently located in walking distance to a number of stores,restaurants, and is only a 4 minute ride to the Sequoias national park entrance. Book as may nights as your heart desires you will leave wishing you could stay longer.

The interior design was eclectic and bohemian. It was cute and practical. They had some fun interior design concepts. All in all a nice place to stay to be close to Sequoia and King's Canyon. The host was very helpful and answered our questions very promptly.

Super relaxing and eclectic. Mars the owner was very available and helpful. Very peaceful and tranquil. Just the way that the river bends & pauses only a few steps from our doorstep was AWESOME! We are considering renting the entire property for our whole family next year!

Amazing place! Our twelve year old son was at first bummed because there wasn’t a pool until he took a turn in the river!! What a blast. Staff was attentive to our every need. Room was adorable! A++++

Quirky decorations but the owner Mars does an excellent job with her guests. She strives to make your stay a good one. Things I liked about the property: 1. the river views although the water was running so fast, we couldn't go near it with my small children. 2. the beds are so comfortable with quality bedding. 3. Excellent service. Mars met us from the second we arrived and was attentive to our needs. Her staff, too, is great. Disappointments: The ice maker in our unit did not work and we had to keep going back to the office to get ice. They gave us a small container of ice each time which was not sufficient. 2. the price is outrageous. Although our booking on Hotels.com stated the breakfast was free, Mars offered it to us for $18/pp. No thanks. The cost of the room was not worth it. The hotel is on a busy street and doesn't fit a 5 star cost.

Great place to stay, just outside of Sequoia National Park. Great rooms, amazing service and staff and a delicious breakfast can be added.

Beautiful old Riverhouse,perfectly located to visit Sequoia park. More,ike a french gîte than a hotel. My (spoiled) kids 9 and 6 said it was the best hotel they ever stayed in. Nice little beach to play and fire place at nights.

A charming river-side property with cosy, comfortable rooms. Staff were extremely helpful and breakfast was excellent. An ideal hideaway just to chill out or to use as a base for exploring the National Park.

Loved the setting. So close to the sequoia national park. Our room had an amazing view.

The Master suite is large, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The location is very close to the Sequioa Natl Park, making it convenient.

The Rio Sierra Riverhouse was in a great location for us to make our home base while spending three days in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Mars was a wonderful hostess, our room (the Panorama Room) was clean, well appointed, and had a great view. It was so nice to sit outside in the late afternoon and evening and enjoy the river and relax with a book. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun place to stay while at the National Parks.
