This place has gone downhill ,sorry, have stayed so many times over the years and was our home away from home, but now seems to be a little run down, rooms had mound in the bathroom and black mound in the tiles, it's a shame as it is quiet location and has good sized rooms. in a friend's room the fire alarm had tape over it , so dont know if it would work in a fire. not a cheap place to stay and dont mind paying but this wasn't the place it once was..

We had a very nice overnight stay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable for my wife (a little too soft for me), the shower was great, and the WiFi worked well. The man who checked us in was very nice. Overall, we think this hotel provided very good value for the price paid.

Room was wonderful and very friendly staff. Toilet seat was broken however and weren't able to get the TV working for anything, even our own movies we tried to stream.

The room we were given had condensation all over the windows (the other rooms had none) there was a major leak in the corner with a puddle of water on the carpet. The room smelt mouldy and damp and all they’d done is put a little damp raid type thing in there. There was mould on the nets as well. We were moved to another room and it also had a damp smell and only a slight leak.

Towels were dirty and fraying badly. Had to request shower mat be replaced. Tray of old cigarette butts outside door of unit. Internet quality poor. Service poor, the lady laughed when asked about internet and changing towels.blood spatter on ironing board.

This motel had everything we were looking for: a great location, which is handy to the city, the Esplanade and Aokautere; a spacious living area and a really comfy bed; a large, well-appointed bathroom with a fantastic bath; a great tv; easy parking; and lots of little details that make a difference (right down to hooks in the bathroom so you have somewhere to hang your clothes - it’s amazing how many motels don’t!). The unit was really clean and in excellent condition. The staff, including the managers and cleaning staff, were friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.
