Wonderful stay. Large rooms, comfortable beds, clean, quiet, ample and easy parking, strong internet…. It was all good. Very easy to find / navigate to if driving. Area is flat and walkable. Restaurants and supermarkets are nearby. Great host and very friendly welcome. I’d stay there again.

The Saxton had everything we needed. We were doing a kayak and hiking tour in Abel Tasman National Park and stayed before and after our tour. Our flight arrived late, but the owners were there to greet us after the normal reception hours, even having their chef prepare an amazing dinner for us.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The owners were lovely, full of information and recommendations.
We'll definitely stay there again during our next trip to Abel Tasman.

I had a wonderful stay at this inn. The staff was helpful and friendly, and it's conveniently located near the main road and across from the sports park. The room was spacious and clean. It's obvious that the owners and staff take pride in the property, and I truly enjoyed chatting with them during my stay! I will be back to Nelson next year and will definitely return to Saxton Lodge!

Quite a basic property. Good vue for money. Unfortunately both nights we stayed had Road works outside from 9pm to 6am making it impossible to sleep. No mention of this was made by the property (despite it likely have been a notifiable activity by the contractors)

Rooms are nice and big, staff is friendly. The property is a fair drive to town and also is adjacent to a busy road so the properties facing the road get traffic noise.
