This hotel is infested with roaches

Rooms were super clean

It was nice having a kitchenette. The room was extremely damp ; the first night I got there I seriously thought the sheets and comforter simply needed more time in the dryer , but over the next 2 days I noticed EVERYTHING was damp and showed signs of mold.

It was ok, quiet.

The whole hotel, especially our room, was humid. The excess humidity in the room caused all of the furniture to be moist. It was very hard to get comfortable in the room, because everything felt so dirty. We didn’t even sleep under the covers because the mattress felt so wet. We slept on top of the sheets. Additionally we could not use the pull out couch as bed because the mattress was disgusting. The bathroom was very dirty as well. Very disappointed in the stay.

The hotel was dirty, it was muggy and it smelled like mold. There were roaches and other insects. The staff didn’t have clean towels available. The elevator stopped working and had to use the stairs. The smell of marijuana was also in the hotel.

It was way too noisy listening to all the kids hootin and hollering and when I’m in my room I don’t want to hear all that. Will make sure I don’t book with this hotel again!!

Good overall

Size of room was spacious and cool. Staff was awesome, just need minor details like cleaning the sofa bed better and having sheets available for it. Found cigarettes, a lighter and a condom in it which ordinarily would raise hell and leave, but I kept everyone off the couch and tried to rest. I’m not one to complain, I’ll choose whether to go back or not and take it from there. Room was 218 I left the green lighter on top of fridge out of my kids reach incase of questions. Stayed there Memorial Day weekend last name Lopez.

It was a terrible experience. To start the place was super hot like if the ac wasnt on or not working and obvious seems like they didnt care cause they even had a fan in the front desk. Then we go up to our floor where our room is and it smell like a zoo. Our room smell like moister and even saw some roaches around one even in the fridge. The restroom faucet water flow was barely coming out. Next we went out to the pool and guess what pool was dirty and u even felt slime at the bottom. They told us they had a bbq pit we went to store buy to make some burgers we came back and their was no propane gas for the bbq pit. Horrible experience wont come back here again wasnt worth my 280 for two nights

Pool was super dirty. You couldn’t see the bottom of the pool it was super dark. Grills provided but you have to take your own propane tank. We saw 2 roaches in our room. One on the bed and another on the wall.

The room was nice and big. The only things were minor. Like the A/C worked but didn’t allow us to change it. One Stove top wasn’t working, bathroom lights flickering. But overall it was a very comfortable and big room. Had lots of utensils and pillows.

Not worth what they charge there was roaches the chair in the room looked like if you sit on it it will fall apart the hotel stunk clock no.plug or batteries both phones didnt work definitely would not stay here again

The elevator was not working, and we had to walk upstairs. We are both in ours 70's, the front desk receptionist asked if we would like some help, but no one showed up to help. When waking up to take showers there were roaches on the floor in the bathroom. Will not stay at a Candlewood Suites ever again.

The room was dirty, from the bed sheets to the restroom. And the restroom faucet barely had any water pressure. Had to wash up with the kitchen sink. Then the elevator stopped working and had to carry my luggage down four floors.

there were roaches in the bath and on the wall in the room, a long black hair in the bath and a pot on the stovetop with crusted on food and the bed was hard as a rock. They do not offer breakfast at all and their stock of items to sell was very poor. That being said it was in a good area and it was quiet and staff were polite. However i expected more from an IHG hotel. There are multiple others in the area just as good and some better for much less money

Stayed at the Harlingen location by the expressway. Our room had a kitchenette, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, big bathroom and very comfortable bed. Close to LOT'S of restaurants and 2 hospitals everything within 5 minutes, quiet area. Will definitely stay here again in the future, 5 of 5 stars!

Friendly folks

It’s the hotel I always stay at when I visit Harlingen Texas but the room was not cleaned 100% and dead roaches and live roaches crawling . They even crawled on my leg and I was disgusted . I had let the clerk know in the lobby and she switched rooms and said the manager was going to get back at me and never did , even same thing in the room the switched me to. Never again I’ll stay there

My employee had to leave the first night due to bad hygiene

While structurally there was nothing wrong with the place, the room was not properly cleaned. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom and the bathtub didn't look like it had been cleaned in days. The lat nigt attendant tried to switch my room twice , but neither of those were clean as well. We ended up staying in the original room and the attendant loaned me a mini vacuum( I asked for a broom) to clean up the hiar. The beds and the rest of the room appeared to be clean, but I and my family will not be staying there again.

Wind checking in room was clean. Everything looked good until I turned on the air. It didn't work went to the office. Was told to wait till the next day. So my night was very, very hot To me also ask for regular coffee. They didn't have none ash for soap shampoo. Body wash hands out in A. We're waiting for the shipment to come in. So I had to go buy some. How to go? Buy a fan just extra expenses was not expected. Dishwasher was coming out of the area was not locked down

Bug infested

The hotel setup was good, a little older building but fine. The cleanliness of this particular hotel was less than desirable. Dirty dishes in the cabinet, used water cup in the bathroom, and they give two towels, one fork, and one knife for s week long stay. The worse part was the roaches. I would recommend trying another location. It was a safe and convenient location.
