Without doubt the most whimsical hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and possibly the best overall.
Just a wonderful quaint hotel that encapsulates its surroundings and history.

The best hotel experience we have ever had. The place is phenomenal, the food is great and the service is beyond any 5-star expectation. Absolutely fantastic. The hotel manager, Akin, helped me organize and facilitate my marriage proposal and did so by going above and beyond. My no fiancé are eternally grateful for Akin’s help and personal touch.

Land of Capadoccia is terrific and magical

It truly is a 'Cave' hotel and it even houses an old Church from the Byzantine time on the grounds. If you cannot climb steps, this is not the place for you - keep that in mind. Also, if you are looking to be in the center of the city with all the restaurants and shopping, you must have a vehicle or be ready to pay for a cab. Also, not all the tour companies were willing to come to this hotel even though it is only 25 min. away from their downtown. We loved the fact that they kept all the old caves and converted them to a hotel room and each room is unique. The breakfast spread is unbelievable and also the staff is impacable. We had dinner 2 nights in the only restaurant and all the food was excellent and very reasonably priced.

It’s a very unique experience, very good food, excellent ambience! I did not see any elevators, so prepare to take your luggage up and downstairs if your room is upstairs!
This is not inside the city you are nowhere near any major attractions, you will have to find a way to get to the major attractions like Hot Air Balloon and the underground caves, etc.

Firstly, I was warmly greeted by the Manager. The site is simply spellbinding, a once in a lifetime experience. Never even dreamt in my lifetime I’d sleep in a luxurious cave dwelling. An area packed with religious significance and being able to see Byzantine frescos on the walls, I was most mystified. Didn’t get a chance to book a tour to visit the open church, this was surely an unexpected surprise. The only caveat was the grilled sea bass ordered, the fish was not at all fresh. Felt terrible returning it as did not want to be the typical American tourist. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, but there was no direct guidance, Did not know I could order eggs to be done as per my liking; aside from this, everything was a delight and if God gives more life and health, would love to bring my grandchildren to ride balloons and stay in this most enchanting cave dwelling. ❤️🇹🇷Gürup

It was an incredible experience staying in a cave hotel. The room was nicely appointed (comfortable bed, nice bathroom, etc.) The staff who greeted us poured us glasses of wine and pulled grapes from a vine directly above our heads, explaining a bit about wine-making in the region. One downside is that without a car, you are in a remote place. The hotel helped arrange a private tour of the area for us. It was expensive, but the guide was great. Just be prepared to pay in cash for that as there is a high fee for credit card payment.

This hotel was excellent. The staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating and the hotel itself was beautiful and luxurious. The food and drinks at the restaurant were reasonably priced and delicious. Our room was amazing- we were not expecting everything to be so beautiful. We were very sad to leave. Nothing will compare to this hotel.

I went to Gamirasu for a quiet relaxing retreat time and it was perfect! I spent two days just at the hotel sitting on my balcony, on the terrace, by the pool, reading, praying, writing. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, and just being there is good for the soul. I had my own car so can’t comment on how it is for those without their own transport but would highly recommend it as a peaceful oasis in the middle of a busy trip. Make sure you leave enough time just to relax and enjoy this special hotel.

We arrived knowing little about the hotel or Cappadocia. The hotels owner and several of his friends and family were enjoying dinner & drinks and traditional music & song in the restaurant as we checked in, and they invited us to join them. For the next hour we ate and drank and chatted and sang, all on the house. The next few days were marvellous; the staff organised activities for us and dropped us off around the region, served up huge breakfasts and delicious dinners, and kept our incredible (upgraded) room immaculate. The laundry service was somewhat expensive, but the service and charm, and the quiet and fascinating location, made the stay unforgettable. The Gamirasus a bit out of the way, but in an otherworldly, largely uninhabited region like Cappadocia, thats just more reason to meander about in a car or on a bike or on foot. We loved it all.

The stay at the Gamirasu hotel was the highlight of our trip to Cappadocia. It is a true experience staying in this cave monastery away from the beaten path with 5 stars service. (own restaurant, swimming pool, alfresco dining overlooking old cave dwellings. The staff were extremely nice and upgraded us to a two bedroom suit. We would love to return and certainly will recommend this hotel to our friends

We just returned from a trip to Turkey and stayed at the Gamirasu Cave Hotel for three nights during our stay at Cappadocia. This is a truly incredible place! We were traveling with our four year old daughter and she was really excited to be staying in a cave. Hamide Demiral the General Manager of the property reached out to us immediately after we booked on Hotels.com with suggestions for things to do in the Cappadocia region. She booked our tours and our balloon ride with some great partners (Euphrates Tours and Kapadokya Kaya Balloons) who were awesome. Hamide and her team made us feel at home during our trip. The cave rooms have been beautifully restored and are located in an old monastery that contains a Byzantine Orthodox church from the 11th century on the premises where you can see remains of the original frescoes. The hotel is a bit secluded and is a wonderful place to rest and relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel provides a free shuttle to Urgup where we went one night to have dinner at a local restaurant. My four year old daughter has been talking about the cave hotel ever since we came back. Shes sitting here with me as Im writing this and told me to write on her behalf, Thank you for making me stay in a perfect hotel. I had a very good time. I loved it so much. It was such a beautiful hotel and we had so much fun in the cave hotel. We loved the pool- it was so nice and we had so much fun. :)

Fascinating hotel in a small village (Ayvali) about 8 kms from Urgup. Very well located for all places of interest in Cappadocia. Our welcome was extremely friendly, professional and informative. Anyone visiting Cappadocia should try to visit this hotel. We doubt they would be disappointed.
