The staff was the friendliest and it was even late at night ... also the hotel was one of the best Ive stayed at near Cedar Point! The room was nice and their little convenience store in the lobby was awesome so we didnt have to try to go to the store. There's a restaurant right next door if we wanted to check that out too! The complimentary breakfast was really good too!

1 night stay was fine. The cable TV was intermittent on some channels.

I have stayed here previously and was looking forward to returning as I had an excellent experience before. Unfortunately, it did not meet those expectations this time around. First the good: staff was amazing and helpful, plenty of restaurants nearby, and as close to Cedar Point as you can get without staying "on property". The bad: the rooms definitely need a refresh. Not enough outlets/usb ports for today's traveler. The shower/bathroom could have used a bit more cleaning as there was hair in the shower and on the floor. In my previous visit, breakfast was a highlight. This time, it was just okay. Typical liquid eggs, bacon, sausage, which isn't bad but I was looking forward to the turkey sausage and omelets from before. Definitely appreciated the kosher options for breakfast meat and was sad to see it gone. Fresh fruit, waffles, breakfast pastries, cereal, oatmeal were also available so we made due. Also, we received a little "welcome to Holiday Inn Express" package last time as well and that was not the case this visit. Overall: a good stay but definitely miss the previous breakfast options and the little touches that made last visit special. Would stay here again, however, for the convenience. Pro-tip for anyone booking: there is another set of elevators if you walk past the first elevator, past the indoor pool, you can't miss them!

My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Sandusky after visiting cedar point and it was nice and clean. The staff was great, polite & helpful! The room was cozy and comfortable and the perks were amazing. I have a wife and four kids, we got free ice cream, free bowling, the kids swam, then the complementary breakfast was worth more than half of what we paid to stay for a family of 6. 10/10 recommend the Holiday Inn

This place is AWESOME! My room was huge and had tons of stuff in it like, microwave, refrigerater (almost as big as my one at home!) even had a freezer on the fridge as well, work space, dining table, large bathroom, just amazing and impressive. Even had cabinets all over the place. The free breakfast was wonderful and had many selections of food and drink, the internet was free, parking was free, awesome place for sure!

First off I want to say how welcoming and kind all of the staff were to me and my fiancé. They were outstanding!!! We will definitely stay again next time we are in town

We stayed here after spending 8 hours in the heat at Cedar Point! It was nice not having to travel far from the park being exhausted. Check in was so nice. Very warmly greeted, quick check in. I got to have a nice shower with dove products. Nice touch in my book. I like this location

Everything seem to be OK at check-in and then me and my kids laid down for the night and while pulling the blankets back, noticed a dark shadow underneath the fitted sheet. When we pulled the sheet off, we saw a giant bodily fluid stain that could’ve been blood or fecal. When I called the front desk, they said they didn’t have any extra mattresses and no extra rooms so two adults and 2 teenagers slept in one queen size bed because everyone was disgusted. I went to the gym in the morning which looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 10 years and the bathroom was equally as disgusting. Employee came to clean up the gym area while I was working out which made no sense because the mat she was trying to fold up I was using. She proceeded to tell me that she had a hard time folding it up because she only had use one arm because she was recently shot. the whole experience was odd and disgusting.

Absolute fantastic staff and hotel! They have gone out of their way to make the customers feel special by extending breakfast hours, offering one hour of free bowling, and providing free ice cream social every night! Outstanding!

The Breakfast was awesome, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was great. I would stay here again.

We stayed at Holiday Inn to go to Cedar Point. Check in was super easy. Great breakfast buffet. Room was clean. Only issue was that ice machine was broken on almost all floors. Difficult to find an ice maker on the property. Overall, it was very nice & we would stay there again.

This was a nice place to stay. Not far from cedar point and walking distance to fun dining at the thirsty pony.

The room was full of cobwebs and spiders. We were able to move rooms after maintenance said he wasn’t going to be able to take care of the problem. The new room didn’t have a bathroom door that shut. It was also not the same size room, so sleeping arrangements were very uncomfortable.
