The outdoor seating is cozy and near the ocean. Staff are very friendly. Beds are soft (maybe memory foam?) and the motel room was spacious enough for 2 people.

Great location, rooms dated and could benefit from a grounds and facility maintenance update, breakfast was the redeeming feature! Very good buffet and THE BEST home fries and friendly staff, white tablecloths, would have liked cloth napkins. Will come again for breakfast but likely stay somewhere else.

It’s a lovely quiet place with nice staff. I stayed in the “motel” section and was able to park right in front of my room. The manager could not have been nicer..even letting me check in early. The view of the salt marshes from the rooms private deck was great. The room was not fancy…just clean, comfortable and quiet. I’d stay there again.

Newly renovated room, clean and comfortable. Nice water view from the patio. Easy walk to great seafood restaurants. Great value for the money. Will stay there again!

I was surprised that breakfast was only served on certain days and although the description said it was within walking distance to the beach, it wasn’t.

Last minute booking. Was very pleasantly surprised. Stayed in motor lodge section of motel. Very quiet. Room very comfortable and Newly remodeled. Great beds. Had breakfast in dining room excellent and good value.

Easy parking; John was great and responsive our email with questions about reservation; warm welcome, gave great dining recommendations; room comfortable, appropriately furnished and clean; quiet; coffee and pastry provided was appreciated in the morning.

I arrived shortly after the 3 PM check-in window. It took nearly 10 minutes to find a staff person so that I could check in. All of the check-in slips for that night sat out openly on a table at the entry. The slips prominently displayed guests’ names, phone numbers, and room numbers. This is a privacy / safety concern. It’s creepy to think anyone arriving before me could’ve grabbed a screenshot of the table and then had my contact information and room number. The room itself had mismatched bed linens on the two beds. The aesthetics of that wouldn’t really have been an issue, but the stains on the bedspreads were. It would’ve been nice to have a couple of chairs and possibly a small table in the room. (There was sufficient floor space for these items.) A couple hangers in the closet also would have been a plus. An iron and ironing board would have been nice too. The bathroom was clean, though it took a very, very long time to get hot water in the shower. My partner went to sit on a bench outside while I checked out. The boards were rotten and one gave out. He was fine, but it was a definite safety hazard, and just one example of how the property seems to be in need of maintenance and repairs.

Great little place to stay! We only did one night but would come back! Room was clean and updated.

What a gem! Magnificent Bictorian lovingly maintained and enhanced! Beautiful room with view of the River. Quiet but close to boulevard in Gloucester. A gem!

My wife and I stayed here for an end of summer getaway. The staff was very friendly. The location was excellent. We would definitely look to stay there again on our next trip out that way.

Nice place we enjoyed our stay. The host was very nice and helpful. The property is also nice. Kind of a b&b style along with motel rooms.

It was a quiet, comfortable stay. Room was small, but clean and tidy. Parking was easy and felt safe.

The property was beautiful and the view was beautiful. The only thing we were not thrilled about was the beds- memory foam is not my favorite and the bottom sheet was very wrinkled which bothered us for sleeping

Our room was fine. It had a great view. However there was no maid service. We had to hang our towels on the balcony to dry. There was a Kureg machine in the room BUT as a tea drinker the water had a coffee flavor to it. If there was someone at guest services you could get ice ( no Ice machine) but if there was no one there, you were out of luck. no vending machine for snacks no snacks available at all. Luckily there was a gas station down the road.

We had a great stay. They went out of their way to help us. Check in was easy. And the suggested restaurants were spot on.

Very charming old house. Very typical of what you would find in any B & B from the late 1800’s. Did not have a refrigerator in our room in the house, however our friends who stayed in the low buildings did. Very comfortable king-sized bed in the room called “Scenic View” on second floor. Overall a good choice.

The rooms were like a motel grouping. The floors were nice done. The beds were absolutely uncomfortable (to the point where I almost asked to leave a day early). The bathroom was extremely small. The lights had cracked pieces on them. The experience made me feel like I was the black sheep being outcast to the pen.

We were able to get a family suite with a separate bedroom for my kids. Mom needs a few minutes alone at the end of the night.

I would return back to this place for a stay over. It was clean and nice. Pretty shock for motel style because it was pretty clean.

We stayed 2 nights and found this location to be clean and comfortable and nearby the things we wanted to do and see in Gloucester

Fantastic location, easily accessed Newport and Jamestown. Our suite was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful. Highly recommend!
