This Haveli is right in the Centre of the Pink City. We walked from the hotel to the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, etc. Easy. Dirty streets but we felt very safe. No traffic noise in hotel.
Our room was large, bathroom small. Both clean. The hotel has a wonderful roof terrace which was just outside our room and we really enjoyed sitting out there in the evenings. It has a wonderful view of Nahargarch Fort which is lit up at night. Lovely to watch the locals kite running from all the roof patios. Amazing.
Food is home cooked and good. No choice but that was fine by me. There was a selection of about 4 or 5 dishes buffet style. A soup to start and icecream.
They prepared a packed breakfast for us as we had an early flight.
VERY traditional in every way - building, furnishings, etc
Would recommend you book day tour for sights outside City direct with Sameer at Namaste Jaipur Tours who charges less than the hotel. Sameer our driver is excellent!

Great service and very clean.
In the heart of jaipur. The views are amazing from the terrace. 360 degrees (being the highest terrace around the neighborhood so enjoy the sunset , sunrise and day to day activity from the roof top .

WOW....this is a wonderful hotel. There was not one thing wrong and boy I've stayed in hundreds over the years and not said that!!! The breakfast had many varieties and so much you woddle out😆. We we're there for 6 days and ate dinner every night as it was so delicious 😋. The staff are really nice and will help you with anything you need. If you want alcohol they will get some 🙂. So sitting on their wonderful top terrace overlooking the mountains one-side and the streets on the other with a drink is very relaxing after seeing the sights.
It really is the best hotel for value for money you will ever find.

Very nice place. Quiet and safe, close to the pink city. Affordable, good breakfast each morning, and staff moved us when the wifi didnt work in the first room. Roof top is very nice in February.

A lovely home and so welcoming especially the 0wner and staff who catered and waited. Our 5 day stay was made the more interesting by hiring Darshan as our guide and driver. A mine of informion, good advice and fun to be with.
Recommend this Haveli without reservation if you want a genuine experience in the 'real heart' of an Indian city and are prepared to forgo some of the Western niceties.
Loved it

Absolutely awful experience. Had a booking for 3 nights confirmed through hotels.com. Arrived at the Haveli to be told they had no confirmation of booking from hotels.com and no space left at the Haveli for the first night. We then complained and miraculously they found a spare room available It wasn’t even cleaned when we entered. We decided to check out the very next day. The owners, the brigadier and his wife never once offered an apology or offered to help us find alternative accommodation. They kept on insisting they received nothing from Hotels.com even though we had confirmation. The owners then showed us their booking system which was a large notepad and rooms and clients written in pencil! Appalling behaviour and customer service.

We had a fantastic experience with Khatu Haveli!
Khatu Haveli provided an extremely clean & quiet respite from the noise and hectic bustle of Old City Jaipur. Aside from seeing the other guests at breakfast, it felt like we were the only guests! Staff took great care of us. Prakash especially made our stay very special.
The daily breakfast of fruit, toast, eggs-to-order, juice, coffee, ect. was delicious. We never stayed for dinner, but heard great things about it. Roomkeeping came daily with fresh linens.
For an authentic Jaipur experience, I trust you'll be very grateful for the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere of this Haveli.

Lovely place to stay, a quiet oasis in amongst the hustle and bustle of Jaipur.
The Haveli was very interesting and hosts were friendly and accomodating.
I would definitely recommend eating here as the food is fantastic.
Wish we had stayed a little longer.

Khatu Haveli was about as perfect as it could have been as a hotel for us in Jaipur. The staff were so helpful and kind, the room was clean, whilst the breakfast and dinner options were excellent. It is located in a busy part of town, but as soon as you walk through the door it's like being in a calm oasis. Would easily and readily stay here again, and will recommend it to anyone coming to Jaipur.

I had a wonderful stay at Khatu Haveli. Once you get off the busy busy street, you enter a real Oasis. It was exactly what I needed, a quiet, peaceful place where you can relax from all the experiences. I had breakfast and dinner there 3x and the food was always outstanding, and the rooftop terrace is mindblowing. If ever again in Jaipur, I would definitely come back to Khatu Haveli.

There are corridor doors that can be bolted shut and trap guests inside upper floors. There are NO OTHER WAYS TO EXIT. This is what they did to us at midnight. We were trapped. Front desk and hotel staff dud not answer phones. In case of fire or medical emergency, someone can die. We were trapped for 30min before someone unbolted the door. Told owner they should remove that door bolt. Owner had no apology. Just that it had never happened before! Worst experience in my 35yrs of travel.

What a lovely warm welcome we got from Sushma, Amer and front of house Menash, they made us feel we were part of their family. We stayed for 3 weeks, our thought was to use Khatu Haveli as a base, then traveling to other destinations, with Menash sorting out our train,Taj Mahal tickets and hotels etc, Virinda who was very attentive in the dining room, made us a lovely packed lunch when we had an early start. and the rest of the staff were fantastic as well. We ate in the dining room most nights and the food was great. I became ill with a chest infection and lovely Sushma, who was just like a little sister to me, took me straight to her doctor who prescribed medication, no hanging about waiting for an a appointment there, because of this we only got to stay away for 1 night instead of the 4 or 5 nights as planned. The bed was very comforable and our suite was beautiful furnished in traditional style. A tranquil haven in a vibrant and bustling part of the city and within a few minutes walk of the Bazaars. We felt more like family than guests and was very sad when the time came to leave. We thoroughly reccommend Khatu Haveli for your stay in Jaipur.

Khatu Haveli is a heritage gem tucked away off a bazaar just inside the walls of old Jaipur. The guest house forms one courtyard of an extended family home of several courtyards. It exudes charm, good taste and excellent renovation. A friendly and pleasant staff are led by owners the Brigadier and his wife -a charming couple. The cooking is the tastiest I've had since arrival in India. The friend who recommended it said "perfect" and my word it is!

Khatu Haveli is a small hotel in the middle of the Pink City. There is an outstanding view of the city from the roof deck. Breakfast (included with room) was cooked to order every morning and was delicious. I had dinner at the hotel 3 nights (not included with the room) -- each night was delicious and a chance to compare notes with other guests. The staff was very eager to please - whether by bringing beverages to the roof deck, arranging transportation, etc. Each room has a small refrigerator, and bottled water is readily available (for a small fee). Wifi was usually adequate, although I did not try streaming. I had the feeling that I was a VIP, staying old India. I would absolutely return to stay here again if I were returning to Jaipur. Disclaimer - The stairs are very tall and steep (about 11 inches per stair), so if you are mobility impaired you should consider an alternate accommodation, as the dining room is on the first, not ground floor.

The property is very clean and neat, looks like recently upgraded. However, the location is in the old city and is off from the main street( and bazar). There is no lift and 3rd-floor rooms can be a good hike.

Excellent stay at this traditional Indian guest house. Rooms were quiet, cool and comfortable and they have a very nice roof terrace overlooking Jaipur’s rooftops and up towards the Tiger Fort. They serve ice cold beer on the terrace which is very welcome as not many places in Jaipur sell alcohol. The set menu dinner they offer is very tasty as is the breakfast (the latter is included in the room cost). They also have relationships with two auto rickshaw drivers, Rahul and Sonnu, who are very reliable and good value for money (they will take you to tailors, jewellers etc where they get commission but these are worth visiting if you plan to shop in Jaipur).

The room was lovely, wish there was a bit more hot water on occasion. The breakfast was good and served in a lovely dining room with an attentive staff. The owners of the haveli are elegant and gentile, they add a wonderful old fashioned elegance to the experience. We had to leave very early in the morning, so we missed breakfast to catch our train. But the hotel prepared a lovely brunch for us to take with us without us even asking. That was so thoughtful and useful on our train trip.

This is a very nice hotel. Nice rooms. Great breakfast. Attentive and friendly staff. We were there in Jan and enjoyed seeing the kites flying from the roof. Our kids enjoyed petting the host family dog.

Beautifully kept havelli steeped in family history. Room was a good size, clean & well presented. Breakfast & evening dinner on the terrace very good. Not really any good restaurants nearby but close to all the forts and usual tourist locations. Definitely recommend a visit.

We were made very welcome when we arrived at the Khatu Haveli; the owner and staff were extremely helpful in booking the next leg of our journey - as well as arranging transport for sight seeing around Jaipur. A peaceful haven in the bustling city - we would love to return here some day.
