Big rooms and friendly staff

We had a lovely stay. The staff is over the top. Our room was impeccable after cleaning service. So convenient to everything. Grocery store was conveniently across the street. Pool was wonderful. Sauna area could be a little cleaner but wonderful and relaxing just the same.

In the booking it was stated that the room of type Economy include - Double Room, 1 Queen Bed, Balcony In practice, the hotel claimed that an Economy type reservation does not include a balcony and I did not receive a room with a balcony. It's a shame because it spoiled the experience of staying at the place.

This is an excellent hotel, comfortable room very well priced. The breakfast is splendid. There is limited free parking, a pool and sauna. It is at the end of the main pedestrian area with a large public car park opposite and a good supermarket across the road. It looks towards the Alps which loom over Mittenwald.However, what spoils what would otherwise be excellent is the woefully internet speed. From room 206 I could not connect on tablet or phone and had to go to the lounge to get even a weak signal. That's a big deal in 2022 and needs fixing.

I think the price was high because it's the year end and the location of the hotel was very near to the city centre. The view in front of the hotel was also amazing, but it's just that. Though it said with balcony, there's no balcony at all in the economy room. The bed was old, the bathroom was unnecessarily big, the wi-fi was cut off before checking-out and the breakfast hot meals like sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs were placed in the other dining area without informing the guests.

Hotel is at reasonable distance from train station. Very close to town centre, where you can easily find a few good restaurants for dining. Staffs are helpful, and able to provide valuable information on attractions nearby.

Short notice booking as we were snowed in and roads impassable. Room made available by midday. Very clean smart rooms with sofa and chair and large balcony. Swimming pool (indoor) and sauna, with buffet breakfast. Close to centre of Mittenwald

We stayed 2 nights at Alpenhotel Rieger mid July 2018. It was a charming older hotel/resort in a great location. The hotel has all the facilities we look for including central location, Wi Fi, safe (a bit old fashioned but worked) and car parking. Our room had lovely views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was included. We didnt have time to use the indoor pool
