We arrived and found no one behind the check in desk. We waited about 5 minutes before calling out into the office. No one was there. There were two women employees taking a break about 20 feet from us who watched but never said a word to us. (language barrier?)
When the desk clerk arrived he said that the elevator was broken and we would have to carry our luggage upstairs. I showed him my cane, I'm a disabled vet. He found us a room on the first floor but it was not like the one we had reserved.
Once in the room the TV would not work and we had to replace two low wattage light bulbs so we could see. to read. Something we learned during our last stay there.
When we left it was with out breakfast since it was not ready.
When we checked out the "clerk" did not ask us anything about our stay, he looked like some guy who just walked in off the streets.
We have stayed there in the past but will NOT again.

This place was probably nice when it was new, but it must not be doing well since they seem to have skimped on maintenance, and it showed. Here are the things we dealt with:
1. Elevators weren't working
2. The carpeting in the stairs was loose and damaged -- dangerously so.
3. The shower door wouldn't stay closed so water ran all over bathroom floor.
4. The provided remote control wouldn't control their video system or TV -- not even volume.
5. The AC system in the room couldn't be controlled from the wall thermostat or the AC box. It was 68 degrees in the room and in order to get it to stop pumping out cold air we had to unplug it.
6. The room fridge didn't have temperature control, but was so cold it froze (and ruined) everything we put in it.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the show?
Well, the breakfast was pretty good for a 2-star hotel, especially the oatmeal add-ins selection.

The AC/Heating unit was not able to be controlled by the switch/dial on it. Called the mgt and they explained that it was controlled by the wall thermostat.

The staff was very nice from the housekeepers to the woman that was keeping the breakfast area clean and stocked in the AM. Our biggest problem was that we had to call to have the AC looked at 3 times during our stay. It would work for a short time and then shut off and come on inconsistently. The 2 nights we stayed were uncomfortable. Wish they would've changed our room, though I will admit my husband was too nice to push it as the front desk/whole city was having issues as the town had no internet service which effected everything. We had family in 2 other rooms and they were noticeabley a lot cooler than ours.

We were checked into a room that had been rented to another guest. They were in the shower. Thank god we heard the water and shut the door immediately. From a former hotel GM this is unacceptable and the system used to assign rooms shouldn’t allow it so they were making keys manually in the back. Highly disappointed in the reaction from the overnight employee. She truly didn’t care at all. Didn’t even attempt to apologize.

The property common areas and staff were excellent. However, my room ac was a very small inefficient wall unit that did not adequately cool the room. There was a thermostat on the wall that did nothing. I was only there for one night while passing thru so I didn’t make any report of the problem.

This is a super nice hotel, the area surrounding it seems a bit sketchy. The beds and rooms were fantastic, the staff was amazingly friendly and went above and beyond to be helpful. Just make sure to not leave anything in your car.

This hotel was fine for one night. I would not want to stay there multiple nights in a row. The rooms were big. It comfortably slept all 5 of us. It was not as clean as it could have been. The breakfast was so so.

This hotel has sketchy surroundings. The hotel’s main street of entrance was blocked so we had to go around a couple of blocks to get to the back entrance. Once on the property it was fine. The concierge didn’t load our key correctly so after trying it several times I had to schlep back downstairs and get back it fixed. She was distracted as she had someone on speakerphone while checking me in. It was annoying because I had to pee. The room was spacious but a little crunchy. Carpet, yuck. Someone had drawn all over the bedside table and they never cleaned it. The barn door going into the bathroom didn’t slide easily so we left it open. The shower head was broken a shot a spray in the wrong direction. The tub was super slippery to stand in. In retrospect we should have asked for different room, but we were so tired. Breakfast was great.

The facility is showing wear and tear, now you have to drive through a real seedy neighborhood and back streets and alleys just to get into the parking lot via a host of detours.. I had to park in the adjacent business parking lot and had to walk about 75 yards to the front door which was locked. It was about 11:30pm late arrival and no one came to the door until after 5-10 minutes of ringing. My 1st question was “how do you get into the parking lot??” Which the gal at the desk gave me the directions in a manner like I was supposed to know.. After check in got to the room and the desk fixture lights weren’t working and over the microwave station, looked like the overhead light fixture was dangling by the wire. Beds were ok, breakfast…. No where near as fresh as the last time we were here, sausages tasted “old” and the eggs.. way bland and almost rubbery. Potatoes were neither crispy or soggy again the rubbery texture.. what a shame.

Room had fixtures that were broken like glory roll holder, no one would answer the phone at desk , phone in the room not working, no water overnight but we were only notified when we got there.,Apparently they were under renovation with workers lounging around… table tops had crumbs on them, bed mattress was old and too soft, do not look at gross pillows that are stained. AC was not working… had front desk come in to fiddle with it. Will never go to a Marriot again.

The hotel was great! The service was wonderful, and I was so tired. They let us check in early and really made everything easy.
The homeless people camped out everywhere around it was super sketchy and made us feel like we were in the walking dead.
