Loved staying at Jati Cottages over the holidays. Staff was very friendly, pool was wonderful, and the breakfast was tasty. The only concern I had at all was that they charge 3% for credit card payments, which was upsetting, because I haven't encountered that in Indonesia at all in two weeks.

Perfect place to stay in ubud! Is a short walk to ubud town centre and there are plenty of warungs and cafes near the hotel too. There is a good massage parlour next door too. I would stay here again!

Absolutely wonderful stay at Jati Cottages. This was my first visit to Bali and I was visiting solo. Jati Cottages made me feel so welcome. Little touches such as the bedtime story each night, mosquito repellant and water bottles in the room were fantastic. The room was very comfortable, I loved the large balcony and the shower was incredible! Breakfast is well worth including in your booking as there was plenty to choose from and it was really tasty. The pool is wonderful and the whole place has a feeling of a peaceful jungle but it's just moments from the city. WiFi is also great, which isn't always the case in Ubud. It is at most 30 minutes to get to some of the main temples and places like the Yoga Barn are closer, just a few minutes away. My only small complaint is the cost of taxis and tours are more expensive than in town and the added premium didn't encourage me to book direct, even though I would have preferred to. Other than that, I would definitely return to Jati Cottages when I come back to Ubud.

Beautiful property that captures the essence of Ubud, quiet for the amazing central location and totally worth the money. Lovely pool, decent breakfast and wonderfully polite staff - they stayed up very late because our flight was delayed and made sure we were comfortable! The rooms aren’t exactly sound proof though so need to keep that in mind when booking!

Couldn’t have asked for any better for the price. Staff couldn’t do enough for you! Room was clean comfortable and very big. Sun beds were comfortable and provided towels. Bathroom was large and the shower very powerful and could get very hot. Would 100% recommend and stay again.

The hotel and room were clean and the bed was comfy but the walls definitely could use a fresh coat of paint as some mold was visible (albeit typical in this climate). The rooms along the pool seemed much better so try to get one of those if possible. It looks like some nights it is priced in the $50-70 range and that price is fair given its slightly far location. I paid $116 though and it definitely wasn’t worth it, especially given I stayed at Barong Resort and Spa the night before for less money and got a private pool and my own Balinese daybed on my private patio.

Amazing value for money. A really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful stafff. We had to walk a little bit (not too much) to get to town, but we preferred that than been in the middle of the clogged area. No Restaurant other than for breakfast but just on the side there is a hip and delicious restaurant so no need to have one at the hotel. Very nice pool and green areas. There was only a minor topic with the shower wall which was not perfectly clean and you could see some molds.

A great value small hotel in convenient location in Ubud. Rooms are spacious and modern. Gardens and pool area well maintained and very bali! Staff very courteous. Walk to yoga barn and restaurants. Breakfast Ok. Only lacks taxi avalability. Family friendly.

Super friendly staff combined with good location make Jati Cottage a winner. Nice pool and breakfasts. Neighboring restaurant and spa are also excellent.

There are many steps to climb before reaching the room. Rather surprise that they still use keys for room access instead of cards. The coffee table in the family room is too small. No changing room at the poolside. The staff are helpful, speak quite good english and service is good. Pretty good location as it is near to the Ubud Market which maybe difficult to hail a taxi as they find the trip is too short for them.

Very well run hotel just outside Ubud. In a nice area away from centre. Good facilities, nice pool, good sized room with undercover balcony with views over garden pool and greenery. Breakfast a little smaller than some in Bali but perfectly adequate. Very comfortable bed, good enclosed bathroom with shower, good AC. All in all a very comfortable option. A pleasant place to stay. Good Chinese/ Local noodle restaurant next door “Hongalia”. Also the laundry next door was very competent and quick.

Pros: 1. Jati cottages is in between yoga barn (5 min walk via shortcut) and radiantly Alive (10-15 min walk) 2. Decently sized Swimming pool 3. Breakfast options were not bad - go for Jati pandan pancakes and Jati healthy 4. Room was cleaned twice a day , but it does not mean that it will be very clean — see below. Cons: 1. Staff does not seem well trained in customer service. For instance , I was enquiring on how to get to a certain location and I had to look at my phone for the exact details, before I could get back to staff on exact address. As there was someone behind me , staff asked me to step to one side just so that he can attend to him . But I was not even done with my enquiry yet. 2. Staff doesnt seem to want to pick up dead houseflies or broken hangers from the floor during evening cleaning. FYI , the hangers that were provided were not able to withstand a pair of light yoga pants and top. 2 hangers broke during my 5 day visit there. 3. On my last day of stay at Jati cottages , I specifically asked front desk to arrange for someone to come get my one piece heavy luggage twice as they put me on the 3rd floor and there was no lift. I waited for them at that specified time , no one in sight came and I lugged it down myself 3 flights of stairs. In conclusion , I rather get a b&b along Jalan suweta or jembawan area which is half the price, at least I will not expect too much from them.

This was my first hotel in Bali and it was a very nice experience. Staff is very nice and helpful. Amenities are good. Need to walk a little to get to the centre of Ubud. Breakfast was very good but small (à la carte).

This is a great hotel just of the main center of ubud - so a quiet oasis!!! The rooms are good with good swimming pool and excellent breakfast. You can easily walk into the countryside and rice fields - I did mountain bike tour which was great way to see the countryside

This is a new hotel. The rooms are stunning. I can not fault this one at all, staff were just lovely. I was admiring the garden and one of the staff came over and we started chatting about the palnts (I'm a florist) he then introduced himself as the owner, he was very very proud of his garden and indeed the hotel ( with good reason). The staff all feel like they are also very proud to work there, it was such a nice feel. when you go out side the gate on the left as you go our the drive there is a little restaurant, lovely staff there too and cheap beautiful food, and 2 doors down in the same direction was a massage place owned by the same people that owned the restaurant, best massage with have had in bali, and the manager is so lovely. Highly recommended this hotel. will stay there again,

Our stay in Jati cottage was just lovely. We were going to stay only three days and then change to another hotel to experience a new place. However the room was so great ( really comfy bed and sheets), and the staff too super nice ( Dewa will help you with what you need) and the swimming pool just delightful that there was no reason for us to move and we stayed a total of 6 nights. If you want a nice, comfy base with western comforts and a balinese feel while you explore Ubud this is your place. Best points, location, price, comfort and hospitality. I would highly recommend this accommodation for any future travellers.
