We arrived late - but our keys and instructions were ready for us in advance. Clean and comfortable room. Great coffee for a motel room coffee maker. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surroundings - woke up to a light snow flurry and took lots of pics. So close to Yellowstone - gave us a full day to enjoy.

Very cute town. Clean and cute room. Simple, but perfect. Easy access to north east Yellowstone. Allowed us early morning animal scouting. Saw a moose and a wolf!

The town experienced a power outage at 8:15 p.m. We tried to reach the front desk but no one was there to help! We were told by a local that "this happens all the time." If this is true, then perhaps they should have a back-up generator on site.
This was likely a problem for the folks who didn't have any food or flashlights with them as everything in town had closed down.

Great place to stay in the center of Cooke City; clean and comfortable with enough blankets to keep us toasty all night long. Laundry facilities on premises and coffee all day long. Highly recommend this place.

Great location - easy access into the park for viewing wildlife. The check in was easy, the rooms were clean and spacious.
The only caveat - bring earplugs as the walls are very thin. OR ask for a 2nd floor room if you are in the two-story building or you will not sleep. Even from just normal walking around of the person above you.
I would stay here again but would insist on a 2nd floor room.

An acceptable motel option in a very small town. Room was a little dated but clean and confortable. I booked a room way bigger than needed for a couple. It slept 8 with a full kitchen. We'd stay here again but book a smaller room.

This was a nice place to stay in the heart of Cooke City. Close to Yellowstone National Park and the Beartooth Mountains. Charming motel.

Way overpriced! No towels or wash rags. Smoke detector fell off wall. Had flies in the room. Had funky smell. Very outdated. Would not stay here again!

Very clean property. Chad was very personable, and check-in was a breeze. My brother and I had two dogs and stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. I did get my exercise walking the 15 stairs, but the suite was very clean and spacious. Dining and shopping are within walking distance, but then again, everything in Cooke City is!! I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I highly recommend Alpine Motel!

3 of us stayed in A4 which was across the street from the other rooms and next to the Saloon. We did not get noise from the saloon. You will hear road noise, but there aren't many cars driving thru in the middle of the night.
Chad is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious with 3 recliners abd a Murphy bed in the main room and a bedroom with bunk beds. Our overnight temps were in the 40s and we were plenty warm.
The small kitchen was perfect for making coffee in the morning and microwaving frozen breakfast sandwiches. Water pressure in the shower is excellent!
Close proximity to NE entrance of YNP.

Excellent overnight stay in a great motel which was very clean and spacious with the owner being extremely friendly and helpful, highly recommend this motel and Cooke City is a fantastic place to stay over, I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Convenient location in town. Nice size room. Beds were comfortable. It was warm, so I wish they had a fan in the room. It did cool off over night.

If you are visiting Yellowstone, this is one of the ideal places to spend the night, and Alpine motel was excellent for us. It was clean, and convenient. I would stay again.
Coming to Cooke City in the evening and going back to the park in the morning may seem like a long drive, but you get to do the Lamar valley sightseeing twice, at different times of the day. It's worth it. Cooke city is very cute, just make sure you arrive before 8:30 pm, most places are closed for dinner after that. Breakfast options are pretty good.

Very appealing buildings and the hanging baskets of flowers were amazing. Very friendly check in. We were in unit 19 a street level unit. Nice to be able to park your car in front of your room. Very clean. Basic room but met our needs. Very comfortable beds. My husband said good coffee!! Many places to eat very close by. Only criticism was that smoke alarm was disabled and as we had a unit above us we were woken up at 5:30 a.m. by people stomping above us. Maybe better insulation or heavier carpet and padding in 2nd floor units?

We got there after the reception shut down and no one was in the office when we left, so we did not interact with anyone aside from when we called on the phone to let them know we'd be there just after the reception hours. Room was a little hard to find since it was inside and upstairs, but it was comfortable and had what we needed, although very basic. Very close to the Northern entrance of Yellowstone.

The hotel accomdated for late check-in and made it simple and easy as we didn't know our time of arrival. There was a great cafe for breakfast right across the street. I will definitely stay here again, and spread the word!!
